Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

I must clean the house (with the help of my family of course!) and begin packing today!!!! That is what I need to get done. And laundry! Just got home from seeing "Magical Beasts" and it was so good! So I'm getting a late start but these things need to get done. 4 days for us!

I feel your pain. DS had basketball tourney that took up all yesterday or we would have seen it then. I had to see it before our trip! On the getting ready front, house is clean. Laundry started. And packing...started...barely. So hard for me before the very last minute! I hate the packing the most! For those who got the lightbulb necklaces, make sure to check them! 3 out of 4 worked right away, but 1 worked, then didn't. DH changed batteries and now it's fine. Guess we have to bring a screwdriver and the extra batteries in case some stop working. Seems like they might be finacky.

my 2yo has been wanting to listen to the soundtrack to Nightmare Before Christmas on repeat...well that, along with Bruno Mars' Uptown Funk, Queen's We will Rock You, and the Hamilton soundtrack. He's got eclectic tastes, like his mom

DD loves nightmare before Christmas. She's adimant she's going to meet oogey boogie and jack THIS week!! But she loves all things scary.
She also loves music. classic music including classic country are her faves.

I am so jealous your house is clean! Mine is somewhat clean but will be a wreck again in a couple days. And once the crunch time packing begins the tornado hits!

I have a few more loads of laundry tomorrow, my husband has to skin a deer and get the meat in the freezer before we go, and our expedition that we are driving to Disney is making a funny noise! That's on DH's to do list at least.

I think I actually got my list finished this weekend (besides packing) and now we just wait until the inlaws get here. I have never been so prepared for Disney ever!
Of course there will still be panic on Friday before we leave and I will remember a million things I forgot to do.

I have delegated a lot of housework to my husband, does that count? Unfortunately I don't think I have any options at work right now. I just have to get through today and tomorrow though and I'm free!

No getting sick!!! Vitamin C! Fluids! Rest (ha!)

I've got clothes all together and stacked, carry ons packed with the exception of electronics. External batteries charged. Travel outfits set out. Suitcases ready to be filled. Working on packing warm stuff for our short visit with the IL's Wed/Thur. Need to clean like a mad woman, and log a few more hours of work still today.

Maybe I can send DH and the boys to his parents for 2 days so I can get it all done

I'm sick too . My boss came in last week with what can only be described as the plague and I knew I was going to catch it...sure did. Super sore throat and aches. I'm hoping with the 2 1/2 days I have to rest at the end of the week I can recover in time for our trip. Lots of liquids and early sleeps until then! Hopefully you can pull off a quick recovery as well . Either way, 80 degree weather will sure feel better then this bitter cold!

My ds9 is in the middle of a bad cold right now, but we're really hoping no one else gets it! I think he'll be fine by Saturday.

Good luck and feel better to everyone getting sick! I caught mine at the 'right' time (last weekend) but it's sticking around and people are so germy at work. I need to live in a bubble for these last 7 days!
