Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

According to the Guide Map for MVMCP it looks like BTMR won't be open during the party. Does anyone think it is possible it will be open on party nights once it is out of refurb? I was hoping to ride it at night during the party...

Yes, it is absolutely just because of the refurb that it isn't listed. Once it reopens, they'll put out a new map and it will be on there. No worries! Of course, I'll admit I'm nervous about the refurb being done on time, especially after they extended the DINOSAUR one, but I'm confident Disney intends to have this ride operating during our visit.

Ok guys - we are coming into the home stretch!!! What's your Disney to do for this week???

I'm hauling out suitcases, making sure they are clean and in good shape. I've got my packing lists done, and need to sort through the tub of stuff I've been throwing together as I come across stuff to see what I still need to buy.

And for the surprise reveal - we decided to wrap the magic band boxes in Christmas paper and give them to the boys as an early Christmas present the morning we leave. I'm hoping that will help them look at the trip as a gift, and be less disappointed when there isn't as much stuff under the tree this year. Because we have SO MUCH STUFF already.

19 days for us!
I worked on our Christmas party touring plan last night. I'm guessing that's the sort of thing I'll be doing all week. I haven't looked at our touring plans much in the last few weeks.

My to-do list is very similar. My main focus is rounding up all of our clothes to make sure we are not missing anything.

On my to buy lists are mainly small items - glow stuff, light-up rings, mole skin, zip-lock bags, glad-ware containers. DD and I went to Khols this weekend and scored a few t-shirts and hoodies. I think we are set with clothes.

I got our luggage out this weekend and set it out in the sun to air out.

My big focus is getting the kids to start getting work from their teachers. They have to sign a special form agreeing to let them makeup any missed work.

Yeah I need to do that too!

I scored at kohls this weekend too. I had $10 in Kohl's cash plus the $10 off $25 and extra 15% off coupon. I got new shoes for DS7, a hoodie for me, and an adorable tsum tsum
Mickey/minnie clearance shirt for me :D

Oh and Parent teacher conference tonight - need to let teacher know again we are gone that week, and the office too. I noticed the teacher and she didn't respond so hopefully there won't be any push back from them!

I don't even know what I need to do this week. I was trying to figure out what would make my trip through security easier. I don't want to carry a clear bag but maybe get a couple of clear pouches so they have less to go through. My kids are older so I don't need to bring in a lot. Any suggestions on things that make security faster?

What's everyone take in their park bags?

I need to do a trial run to see if the backpack we are planning to take will fit everything. If not, I will have to do more shopping!

I am hoping to make it to a few Targets today to see if there is any Halloween clearance items to throw in with our surprise treats/gifts/travel backpacks. Last year I found so much star wars stuff on clearance, but haven't been out yet this year.

To Do:
I feel like I have so much to do before Disney! We had a baptism in another state this weekend, we have my SIL baby shower next weekend and we are away the weekend before Disney for a wedding so I am stressed about when I am going to get anything done! Plus, all this running around is sure to take a toll on my immune system *pops vitamin C*. I'm hoping with the Friday holiday this week I can get all my outfits together and figure out what toiletries and supplies I will need for a Target run. I still need to cancel a bunch of backup ADR's. AND I want to decorate the house for Christmas so when we get back from Disney it's all done. So much to do!!

Park Bags:

Ponchos/hoodie, hand sanitizer, battery banks, snacks (meal bars, mini bags of Pirate's Booty), gum, ADVIL, water bottle, sunglasses case

The best thing you can do is just have everything open and accessible. Pull coats/hoodies out and hold them instead of having them stuffed in bags. We put all the small stuff like first aid stuff, sunscreen, sanitizer, etc in a ziploc. Snacks in another. Then they just had to pull out the bags. It made it so much quicker!!

Small first aid supplies - band aids, sunscreen, Tylenol, moleskin. In a ziploc.

Easily accessible hand sanitizer. Must have!! My kids love to touch railings in line :crazy2:

Snacks, brita water bottles, candy/suckers/gum if you're a gum person (can't buy gum anywhere in the parks!)

My big camera

Stickers, glow sticks for kids

I also throw a change of clothes and sandals for each kid in a tote that goes in the bottom of the stroller.

And pull ups and wipes of course

So jealous of you guys going without young kids so you don't have all the extra crap to haul haha!

Toys and stickers! Totally forgot about that!!! Yes, I hear you on the crap. :rotfl2:

Yay! My MBs are out for delivery!

November 7, 2016, 9:25 am Out for Delivery
So I have lost the ability to track mine??!! I don't see it anymore as a choice on MDE. Maybe that means they're being delivered today? Anyone know where else to look?

I have an email from Disney Destinations with a link to tracking directly to USPS. Do you have that email?

No - I never got an email when either one shipped for some reason. May be that it went to my travel agent. She's at Disney right now but I'll definitely be checking in with her if they don't arrive in the next day or two!
