Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

Hi all, I've been following along this thread, we will be in FL 11/25-12/11 and at Disney 11/26-12/5.

Currently figuring out how to do Fantasmic, since with JBJB they can't be done on the same day. I have Coral Reef dinner reservations one night at 8:05- I could push those back. How long would it take to leave Fantasmic and get to Epcot? What is the quickest way to get there?

Also, we're staying at CBR. We have scheduled an 8:20am PPO H&V and want to do JA sign-ups before breakfast. What time is the absolute latest we should plan to be at the bus stop for HS?

:welcome: We're at CBR 11/26-12/6!

Sorry I can't answer your question about the bus.... I'm trying to figure that out myself! The whole RD crowd thing has me in a panic.

I think I may end up using alot of Uber... :rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Thanks for the welcome.

We have never made a RD ever, we're trying to do one at MK and this HS PPO meal...we'll see how it goes with the kids....

I told myself this would be a relaxing trip, but the closer it gets the more I want to do and plan!! DS will start kindergarten next year, so it'll be our last long trip to FL during the school year.

You should post this question in the CBR thread under Resorts. They have a resort expert there who should provide good info.

My MBs are stuck with @JamieOak & @BDFmom

Welcome!!! After Fantasmic is a bit of a crazy mass exodus, I would recommend sitting towards the top and heading out before the official end. You can head to bus stops and bus over to Epcot, take a boat (which likely takes longer because of multiple stops - boats run every 20 min. OR you can walk to the IG at Epcot which is the quickest from what I've read.

Not sure how long it takes to get from CBR to each park, but people have said plan an hour for transportation just in case. So for an 8:20 PPO I would plan to be at the bus stop no later than 7:20 and hope that a bus is there or comes quickly. You can also uber to the parks for pretty cheap and get there much quicker.

Yes, and an uber from CBR to DHS would be REALLY cheap since they're so close! Unfortunately, with 6 of us I'm not comfortable trying taxis and ubers unless we're in a real bind. For a group of 4 or fewer I'd definitely go that route! I know there's a calculator that will give an estimate if you do a search, @crayon3448

I've never used uber and am nervous because we have a toddler and I'm sort of a car seat freak! I assume you could request a car with a seat though?

I'll stick with the buses haha!

Yes... They do have car seats upon request. I think you have to request the bigger car. I'm not positive. I grew up in Manhattan therefore I am a taxi kind of girl but Uber will do for the price.

Yeah, I'm sorry I ended up sounding like I was talking to you when I was really trying to direct my comments mostly at Crayon. Just trying to add to what you had said already. ;)

Oh no! I didnt think that :) I was just adding my 2 cents, as I just can't resist

My park arrival plans: we rope drop always!! Every Disney day will be a rope drop, except our MK EMM which technically isn't RD, but earlier. A lot less stressful though! But we tend to be wimps at night time. We do RD, but may be done with a park at 5 or 6 or 7. We also have one party day to come in at 4 so that will be a sleep in day. Anyone who hasn't experienced the RD and walk for 7DMT...get ready! So glad we have EMM and I don t have to do that again!!!! :scared1:

So what fun things does everyone have ready/made/ordered for the trip? I got some fantastic autograph books for the kids from Etsy. Very sturdy and we'll made and ADORABLE! :lovestruc And I just ordered our matching Christmas shirts for the Christmas party from Etsy too. :santa: Have to get to either Home Depot or Michaels or somewhere for those lightbulb necklaces. And I still want to get something for decorating our magicbands. Can you guess from where? Probably Etsy. Love that place!:rainbow:

We watched that hoarde coming as we got on SDMT for the second time after our PPO BOG. It was CRAZY!! Glad to have FPs both days just in case DS7 decides he wants to ride more than once. No way would I wait more than 20 min for that ride!
