Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

And oh we will for sure be RDing DHS both mornings there - Sunday the 27th is EMH too so we will be zombies but Jedi training is a top priority so I want to have our best chance at getting a good time.

I told DH he and the little one can plan to come a little later, and that DS7 and I will plan to be at the bust stop by 7am come hell or high water.
LOL, this is my plan for the week after! Dec 4! I really want DS to meet Buzz and Woody early. Zombies.... :scared:

I'm hoping to hit SDMT first on our PPO BOG day, then go to PPF next to see the queue. I have FP for both of them that day also just in case. From there we will finish out fantasyland (and probably ride barnstormer a dozen times since it's the only coaster the little one can do and I expect him to love it!)

The 2nd MK day is 8am EMH and we will hit tomorrowland first - big kid can ride space a few times, little one can do the speedway since he's big enough. And the Astro orbitor since that's a slow moving line. Then buzz over and over I'm sure. Both kids love that one!
Don't judge... We didn't even go into Tomorrowland last year. We have to make it there this year...

It needs some help, but Buzz is seriously so fun for being as lame as it seems haha. And the Monsters Inc Laugh floor is a really cute interactive show! There is a good amount to do there, don't forget the peoplemover and Space!!

I tried to get my littlest to meet them while DH And DS7 were on BTM last year - no go! He wouldn't go near them haha
Awww... You think he would go to them this year? I'm hoping mine would go. He never minded other characters before... so fingers crossed! Or that would be a lot of cancelled character meals! LOL!

I'm hoping so! He talks all the time about meeting Mickey again and not being scared haha. At the beginning of our only character meal he was really standoffish but after the characters were all around once he warmed up and had so much fun. I have much higher hopes for this year!!

Nice! Looking forward to seeing how everyone's trips goes and also seeing pics if you guys are not shy, ;) LOL

It's 1/4 mile long!! Once DD gets up we will make our way outside with the dogs.
I totally understand. We live in the country too. In the winter, if there is a ton of snow on the ground, I actually argue with myself if I am expecting anything urgent or good in the mail to make the long trek to the mailbox. Since it is a locking mailbox, sometimes lazy wins out for a day or two.

We are rope droppers! We have two mornings where we plan to sleep in - after our HS day/JBJB, and after MVMCP. So I guess that means four of our six park days will be rope drops.

We generally try to get there around 30 minutes early. For DHS and Jedi Training, we will be shooting for 45 minutes early.

DH usually gets the mail after work before driving up since he gets home before me. But on weekend and snowy days when I don't want to plow, I'll ride a horse down to the mailbox. :rotfl:

I'm a total novice to RD. Our last trip was 9 years ago and we stayed at the Poly and only went to MK. The one morning with EMH we walked from our room to the TCC monorail and we're in MK in no time. The other morning we arrived around park opening... I don't remember huge lines at bag check, i know alot has changed since then

This year we are staying at CBR a. When you say to arrive at the gate 45 minutes before ... what time do you get the bus? By gate does it mean where they check your bags and tickets or past that point....

I'm confused an anxious.... I really want to catch the MK welcome show our first morning on 11/27

I love this mental picture. I want to ride a horse to the mabox!

I'm glad we're hitting Diagon Alley first (that's the one in Universal right, not Islands of Adventure?) -- It sounds like that one is a little more immersive and we won't feel restricted with our time there since we'll just be arriving. Hopefully we can catch it not super crowded at first open.

Thank you so much for your help!! There's just not as much information out there about Universal. If anyone has any other tips on Universal must-dos or anything, please feel free to let me know! (Don't know if that's allowed on these Disney boards though...)

I am not sure of your kids ages, but a kinda of a lesser known fact you can do. After you ride Men in Black if you ask the workers if you can do an immigration tour. They take small groups into the immigration room (where you can take pics sign a guest book little things to look at and especially some cool photo ops) Then they usually ask if you want to ride again and they walk you back onto the ride

I've heard that it's good to be at the bus stop one hour before you want to be at the gate. So if you want to be at the gate at 8:15, be at the bus stop by 7:15.

We just cannot make rope drop. My daughter is a night owl and the earliest I can get her out of bed is a little before 8, even on school days. My son gets up at 6:30 or 7 (unless he's up late) so I suppose there is a chance I'll sneak out and rope drop with him a ride or two. But this trip I'm prioritizing night activities - I think nearly every night we have an evening show, some nights pretty late, so I can't ask the family to rush in the mornings. I'm hoping between the fast passes and ADRs, a good touring plan, and (bless my parents' generosity) 2 days of VIP touring we'll still be able to make an efficient run of the parks!

That's super cool! I'll keep that in mind!
