Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

In the 10 minutes since I posted I have already been able to rearrange some times for the better :worship:

Only one that I am lacking was getting an Everest ride at night. I heard it is a different experience. I got mega vertigo last time I rode Everest though so maybe for the best :D

I was able to get everything I wanted and modified to even better times, too! I also was not able to get Everest for after dark, but am hoping the hours are extended by another hour and perhaps more FP+ opens up for EE. Keeping my fingers crossed!

2 - I should be able to finish everything on Thursday. Who knows what will still be available by then? :confused3
That stinks that you have to wait until Thursday. :( But hopefully you'll still have a large selection. There's so much available right now that I am optimistic for you.

Hi all- my FP date is on Thursday! Would anyone mind checking out my itinerary and giving any advice? This is going to be pretty involved, so thanks for reading. As a reminder, it's just me, so if this is way too crazy I'm the only one who has to pay for it. :)

I italicized my FP's so you can just check those out if you want. Signing up for EMM kinda threw off my original FP thoughts on 11/29, but I'm hoping to make them so I don't have to do a lot of walking back and forth.

I think your plan looks great! You have lots of room for flexibility but still have a solid framework to go from. Looks like a lot of fun. :)

Being a newbie, I don't think I can comment on much there. Besides the lack of AK, it looks like a nice trip! I have 2 long days in a row, so we are going to be pushing through it too.

We have a lot of the same plans. EMM on 11/29, Epcot on 11/30, HS on 12/2 (I have a brown derby F! lunch, but looking for a dinner instead). While you are at universal, that's our MVMCP night.

Yikes, my FPs are done but doing it for a group of 10 was stressful. We got everything we wanted almost at all the times we wanted. The only day that was really off was Nov. 26 (a Saturday at MK, makes sense). The website at first would not read everyone's tickets and I kept getting olaf with his head off! We got FEA, 4 SDMT, 2 EE, 4 BTMRR and 5 SM. I am happy!

I am sort of second guessing my thoughts on a couple of Fastpasses. I only got 1 Fastpass for Splash Mountain out of the 3 days we'll be at MK. I know we'll want to ride it each day we are there, but I didn't want to waste Fastpasses on it if the weather is on the cool side. I also didn't get a Fastpass for Kali at AK. Hoping I don't regret my choices! We didn't get to ride Kali on our last trip almost 5 years ago as it broke down as we were getting on and was not repaired before the end of the day.

My kids smell a snack from miles away and are starving. I'm afraid for the teenage years with my 2 boys!

Be afraid, be very afraid. It's important for any parent of boys to realize that one of the life-cycle phases of teenage boys (and their friends!) is that of the locust, which will efficiently clear out any and all remotely-edible food you have - and some that's not! Prepare to go through cereal like there's no tomorrow.

I didn't get Splash or Kali either. Shocker: I have never been on Kali in all my trips to Disney. We were going to on our last Thanksgiving trip but we found it wasn't warm enough for either of those rides. Especially our AK day, it was pouring and cold. If the weather is warm, definitely going to try to switch some FPs for a Splash Mountain one when we are there!

I was completely underwhelmed by Kali. We have a similar ride at our local amusement park that is longer and more fun. So I wouldn't fret about it!

I got a FP for Splash but I felt kind of funny about it for the same reason you said - if it's cool it probably won't be necessary. The only reason I ended up with one is it's my daughter's favorite ride so I had to be sure we had at least one ride. I have a Kali too but only because I didn't know what else to use it on, lol. I'm hoping to exchange it for ROL if that ever shows up. We've never ridden Kali but I've been on similar rides so I won't miss it if it's too chilly on our day.

I didn't get a FP For splash either, though we all ride it! We find early in the day and late in the day it had very littl waits so we will head there after RD on our second MK day :)

And no KALI for me - I don't like being soaking wet!

I am also hoping to exchange one of mine for ROL if it ever shows up!

Another fun new (for us) thing we are going to try this trip is checking out the fireworks from the Polynesian on one of the MVMCP nights. That fireworks show is so incredible so if I can get a second glimpse at it from there I will be super excited!

I'm hoping to catch them on our last night, we have a 6:30 dinner at Ohana and if the kids are up to chill for a while after dinner and hang out (instead of total tantrums because it's wayyyy past bedtime and 6 park days has finally caught up haha) I want to stay and catch them from the beach!

Looks good to me! I feel like a solo trip is way more easy to "wing it" and also do late nights/later mornings. your ADRs all look great too!

I'm throwing some TP together and working on 12/2 at MK - AM EMH day. It says I'm utilizing the 8am opening, but then tells me the wait for POTC at 8:11 am is 53 minutes since the ride doesnt open until 9. ummmmm...no :rotfl:

My planning has reached a new level of madness. We already have a bunch of Disney shirts and I bought a ton of cute custom ones for this trip because I have a spending problem when it comes to Disney. I'm planning what days we can wear what shirts so we can get pictures in all of them :rotfl2:
