Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

You know what's a great distraction from a Disney planning lull?

A pulmonary embolism. I'm now sitting in the hospital for probably 2 days and then have to sort out blood thinners and such long term. Im apparently a walking cautionary tale for birth control causing blood clots. 2Whomp whomp.

This better not restrict me from getting on a plane in 107 days :charac2::sad:
Praying for a fast recovery.

Oh no! Feel better soon.

The news of no MSEP along with the confirmation that paint the night won't be coming to WDW is just devastating.
It seems that the only confirmed evening entertainment is F! and Illuminations.

Thank you Disney for giving us this lovely news with no replacement . Tho I still have hope that they may have something special planned for the 45th Anniversary...

I'm sure we will still have a fantastic time.

It's getting a little old, isn't it? And quite frustrating. My 5 year specifically asked to see MSEP and Wishes our first night. So much for that. I'm just waiting for them to continue overlapping Fantasmic and SW fireworks, because that makes perfect sense. What else can they cut/change/charge us more for??

I agree! We aren't parade people really, but the crowds on those non party nights are going to be insane if there's not something in MSEP's place. Argh. Maybe we won't try to hop to MK to see wishes after all :/

So how does the age thing work at JTA? My boys become more Star Wars obsessed by the day and they would love to do this. But my youngest will be 5 weeks shy of his 4th birthday on our trip. I can't imagine letting the older do it and not the younger-they're close in age and do everything together. Any way a very close to 4 year old can do it or is the rule hard and fast?

:sad2:
Did you all see MSEP is ending in in September?!

they better have something running at night to keep the masses busy so I can get on rides with shorter waits dangit ;)

WHAT??????!!!!!! :sad::sad::sad:
First Osborne now the Electric Parade:sad2:

Can Disney not pay the electric bill? These are my 2 favorite things. Next Fantasmic will leave. How can they not have a nighttime thing at MK???

Being discharged home this morning! And doc said flying is perfectly fine.

Now Disney - lets announce some amazing new nighttime entertainment taking the place of the beloved MSEP and make this the best day ever!

:flower1::flower1::flower1::flower1: YAY...now don't do anything else between now and the trip!!

Seriously, every time I have a trip coming up, I am super paranoid that SOMETHING is going to happen!

Stay safe everyone!!!

Looks like some October hours have been updated - now patiently waiting for november hours...

I have been reading up on recovery from a PE, and am starting to get nervous. I get short of breath walking more than a short distance, and tightness in my chest still. Some things I've read said the symptoms can take months to resolve. I posted on the community board to see if others had good news from their recoveries and got the suggestion to rent an electric scooter for our trip. It would definitely make it easier for me if I'm still having symptoms, but I have to say if in 2 months I'm not breathing better I'll probably have to cancel the trip. Disney on a scooter with 2 kids and a stroller sound like way too much work :( I'm hoping my doctor has some suggestions to help with the shortness of breath - I'm willing to try just about anything to not have to cancel this trip. Because if we cancel now, we probably wont be rebooking for a few years. Ugh!

Oh no! Oh, I hope you bounce back much more quickly than others have. I know people talk about renting a scooter as if it's no big deal, but it would be a very big deal to me. I hear you! :(

Wishing you the best! I can't see a scooter with a stroller and two small kids. I hope it all works out for you and your family.
