Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

Has anyone compared crowd calendars lately? I know they could still change a bit when the entertainment schedules come out, but Undercover Tourist and Kenny the Pirate look pretty different. I think I trust Kenny more, and still waiting for easywdw to update theirs....anyone have a favorite or know which tends to be more reliable?

Josh tweeted that he was "getting out of the crowd calendar business". I have no idea if he was serious but he certainly hasn't updated his calendars recently so it does seem like he might be done with that. If so, I'll be very sad. :(

There are preliminary calendars on EasyWDW - use the search function to type in November and December. I think with so many details up in the air, it is hard to make predictions.

I am using Touring Plans and EasyWDW to compare to some of the others.

Sorry for this post but I have to share with follow Disney fans. My DD is almost 5, she has a rare genetic disorder and really doesn't talk yet. She says a few words, but today she said "go see mouse" (meaning Minnie Mouse). I am so excited, I can not wait to get her there.

Oh my gosh do not be sorry for this post it's the greatest thing I've read here yet. That's so awesome!

Ok I'm sure that I will change things around many time in the next 140 days but I've I'm leaning towards getting a park hopper this year. DD required a nap in the hotel last year and was exhausted after the festivities. She refused to sleep in the stroller and declared that she would "miss something!" It wasn't so terrible but what was bad was the travel back to the parks especially MK. We are staying at BC. Thinking I can take advantage of the lower crowds on party days in am, nap and then hop to either HS or Epcot at night. Hopefully there will still be the StarWars Fireworks at HS. DD loves fireworks.

11/26 arrive 3p checkin, nap, bus to MK, dinner at California Grill, resort hop at monorail resorts to look at Christmas decorations, back to CG to watch fireworks
11/27 ? AK or Stormalong Bay then MVMCP at night
11/28 Epcot am/nap/HS night Fantasmic
11/29 MK/nap/Epcot with Candlelight Processional
11/30 MK/nap/HS night or maybe AK night if they are doing it
12/1 HS vs AK/nap/ Epcot
12/2 MK all day

Looks like a great plan!

We had planned to leave for naps, but DS who NEVER sleeps in a stroller crashed each afternoon in ours no problem. It was awesome, since we could find a shady spot and one of us would sit with him and eat a snack while the other parent took DS 6 to ride more rides. I'm hoping it works out similarly this year!!

We have never left the parks for naps. I just knew that the boys would crash on the way back to the hotel and then wake up when we got there and it would be a waste of time. My boys can literally sleep anywhere (they've even fallen asleep standing up and eating!), so they just crash in the stroller when they're tired, and DH and I take turns riding big rides like Space Mountain.

My DH, a friend who is going the same week as us AND her DH are all applying for the Disney visa using my referral so with that $150 I can now justify booking a Star Wars dessert party without too much money guilt :woohoo:

That's awesome! My mom got one using my referral, but DH won't sign up for one because he's too proud of his credit score, blah.

So, I pulled up youtube videos of the CP last night with NPH. I'm pretty sure my kids will be bored to tears, and DH said he will be too. Looks like that solves the ADR dilemma...

DD is a creature of habit. Since she was about 3 months old she has only slept in her crib. She would go to the stairs around 18m and tell me she was tired and time to go to her bed at nap time. She had bad virus (103.5 temp) at about 2.5y and I was laying in the spare bedroom with her letting her watch a movie. I told her to just close her eyes and take a nap. She started crying hysterically and said she needed her crib. It's a blessing and a curse...

Last year at Disney she fell asleep as soon as we put her in the pack n play. Had to wake her when it was time to go back to parks. She's still in her crib at home. She told me she doesn't want her big girl bed. She will be too big for the pack n play this year. I'm not sure Disney will even give us a pack n play this year since she is 3.
