Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

That sounds like a good plan for MK, I'm sure it'll be fine.

We had one day planned in AK last time and it rained. The positive was ODS got to ride EE over and over between the lack of crowds and child swap. But we hardly got to explore the park at all, by the time we finished our fast passes and TH lunch we were soaked and done. I'm really hoping for a nice day at AK so we can see what's actually there!

I ended our AK day with a migraine that started at the End of the Lion King and remained all through dinner at Tusker House. I couldn't see out of my right eye, it was all such a chaotic blur trying to get buffet food for a kid with one working eye and a splitting headache. Oy.

I wish my kids liked shows more. They have to be constantly on the go or they get bored. Definitely squeezing in Flights of Wonder though, I know they will love that and it was closed when we were there last year.

I think I finally have my schedule together so I am ready to go at 6AM on Memorial Day booking ADR's:surfweb: (seriously, it couldn't have been a workday?!)

11-26-Arrive-go downtown-lunch at TREX-DHS at night to hopefully see SW fireworks-otherwise to MK for Wishes
11-27-DHS EMH-lunch at Sci-Fi; hop to Epcot-dinner at Via Napoli
11-28-AK-hopefully with nighttime entertainment!
11-29-MK and MVMCP
11-30-Epcot EMH-lunch at Coral Reef-hop to MK for evening EMH-dinner at Tony's
12-1-DHS-dinner at Minnie's Holiday Dine and hopefully SW fireworks
12-2-departure day-EMH at MK until the Magical Express comes to take us home

I can't wait to see how many times these plans change over the next 6 months as we get more details on AK and DHS hopefully being open later for the new goodies. :cheer2:

You've got a lot of DHS days or partial days in there! That's what I'm leaning towards because we LOVE Star wars here! I just wish there were more for my toddler to do besides wait for us to get off rides without him haha.

Really hoping SW fireworks are going to be nightly there, that would make my planning so much easier!

That migraine sounds awful - and you said it was really hot that day, ugh. :(

Flights of Wonder looks amazing! I didn't even know about that, going to try to hit that for sure.

I'm not sure how shows are going to go for us. My middle is a fidgeter and my youngest is a runner so we'll see.

DHS is my favorite so I honestly feel like I don't have enough days there! I can't wait to see all the new Star Wars offerings. And we could spend all day riding ToT over and over. I hope the fireworks are every night-especially since they don't have all the Christmas lights anymore--they need something at night to draw us in, right? :)

Trying to decide if I need to rethink the whole plan now... I was planning on Epcot on 12/1 and MK on 12/2 - but now they both have EMH (early). Ugh!

I need to catch up the last few days but anyone care to check out and give me advice on my plan so far? I am so undecided. We have FD. I am not totally picky on most ADR times, just one a day for my kids sanity. Dh is not a morning person so prob will only plan 1 rope drop maybe? Also we are camping this weekend so hopefully I can score ADRs from my phone!

Sat 11/26- arrive around lunch time, check in CBR, QS lunch, swim, ADR dinner- T-rex or 1900 Park Fare?
Sun 11/27- MK day, Crystal Palace lunch, leave by 7 (CParty day), back to hotel
Mon 11/28- Epcot- Akershus ADR
Tues 11/29- HS, sleep in, QS lunch, Hollywood and Vine Dine w/ Minnie dinner
Wed 11/30- MK, BOG early lunch, later CP dinner? Stay for Fireworks
Thurs 12/1- AK- Tusker House ADR lunch or late breakfast, stay for night time show if available
Fri 12/2- Park day, repeat a favorite, ? ADR maybe Ohana breakfast or GG if going to EP again
Sat 12/3- check out early and drive home

My kids LOVE Flights of Wonder!

If you call Disney they will give you park hours, no times for shows, parades or fireworks. They did have EMH listed.

I'm leaning towards switching, but MK on the last day just makes it seem so much more perfect. UGH. Thursday is AK day, and I don't want to make that our last park, it's the least "Disney" to me.

I feel the same way. But last year I managed MK on Veterans Day with EMH and taping Xmas Parade. Last year I was clueless and just picked a park each day. I figure this year should be awesome comparatively so I am going to do MK on my final day even if it isn't suggested. Just have to end on its a small world and leaving that castle!

Okay, as of now I am at peace with our current plans. We really can't afford to add any days to our trip. If we can't get good flights we'll just have to drive, or possibly rent a van to drive down and then fly back (flights back are nice and cheap!). Also, I did consider moving to ASMu, but AoA is where my heart is for this trip and I just know I would be terribly disappointed to move somewhere else. So, back to planning my ADR's and park days! :D

Fingers crossed flights get super duper cheap for you, but sounds like you've got a good plan otherwise!!

I talked through the schedule with my DH and he agrees on keeping MK as the last day. And he also wants to do a second morning at Hollywood studios, eat dinner that night in Epcot - oh and did I mention it's Wednesday and he also wants to hop over to MK for fireworks? I said 3 parks in 1 day is a lot, and MK is sure to be a zoo that day. "Nah, I bet it won't be that bad"

Oooooook then! Haha.

Camping this weekend is rained out, so I'll be home Monday morning to do ADRs. Now at least I'll have DH to help me, I can have him on his computer. I'm going to be so distracted all weekend, I'm so nervous! I feel like it's an exam I've been studying for, and getting all my ADRs means I get an A. lol

Is everyone ready for their ADR day? Any last-minute tips for a noob?

I'm sure you're already planning to do the hardest ones first. That's the best tip I can think of. Also, don't panic if the website isn't working well (easier said than done!). If you're having trouble, so is everyone else. Just keep trying. :)

Thank you :) I have Akershus PPO on the top of my list, followed by Ohana dinner after regular park hours on a party night and BOG dinner. Those are the toughest, right?

Also, is a PPO reservation for BBB still really hard to get, or generally doable if you call right at open?

I'm nervous about the site crashing on Monday because of FD. My husband is marching in a Memorial Day parade and we have to leave by 8:00. I hope all goes quickly and well.

Oh goodness, I hope it goes well for you, and you can all enjoy the parade!!

We decided at about 150 days out to switch from the free QSDP to the DDP so I never had to contend with 6am dining reservations either!

I'm prioritizing BOG on a party night (not too hopeful), Ohana dinner, Via Napoli, and Minnie's holiday dine. Pretty confident I can get Boma, Trex, and WCC without issue. I hope!

I just looked at our SW flights to see if Prices went down at all - and they are up almost $500 for the 4 of us. So glad I booked when I did o_O
