Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

Thanks you guys are the best! Out of all of our trips we've only spent a few hours in HS in the morning so I had no clue it was every night!

We loved Fantasmic last year! Thought it was one of the best shows! Hoping to do the Fantasmic dining package this year. pixiedust:

Hi guys! We are booked from 11/27 to 12/9 at CSR. I'm excited to try Boma and Biergarten as we have never made it there. It's on our bucket list and have a few character meals we are considering. We are a family of 4 with 2 girls 4 & 7. We are Disney junkies and are excited to join this group

Welcome! We did Boma and biergarten last year - Boma food is incredible you will love it! And biergarten is so fun. Definitely get the grapefruit Hefeweizen. So gooooood.

I think I need help! We love breakfast buffets and I can't decide how many would be too many for our trip. (and there is a serious LACK of eating/food emoticons on this board!)

Anyway, these are all the ones I'm interested in (again, these would all be breakfasts):
1900 Park Fare
Tusker House (have eaten breakfast here before)
Boma (ate dinner here last time)
Garden Grill
Hollywood & Vine
Crystal Palace

We get 9 table service meals, and I guess I was hoping to do 4 breakfasts and 5 dinners. However, at this rate maybe we'll end up with 5 breakfasts and 4 dinners. Ah, how does one decide!? lol

I guess the 4 that are in parks are a little easier because the transportation factor isn't such a big deal. We'll be staying at AoA and if we do any of these we would plan to eat around 10:30 (those that can rope drop would already be in the park, the others would arrive in time for breakfast after sleeping in a bit longer).

Looks like there are the rest of nov hours, but not set as far as shows/fireworks/Etc

I was hoping for AM EMH at HS for Jedi training sign ups during the week, but this shows they have it Sunday the 27th when we weren't going to plan on doing a park after all. Hmmmmm. May have to try for a H&V Pre opening breakfast now, which is a bummer because the Disney Jr. characters are not a hit here. Blah!

Also I just realized if I turn my phone sideways I can see signatures on here! I've been using it in portrait orientation and getting annoyed I couldn't see them. Apparently I need to lay in bed on the Dis more often :rolleyes1

Ok opinions...

We are doing 2 MK days, both on party nights. So Tuesday will be first day, and I am trying to decide between Thurs OR Fri for our second day. I can't decide if doing MK last would be best, or if it won't really matter. I'm thinking thursday will be less busy by a little at MK, but can't decide if slightly smaller crowds thursday make it worth NOT doing Magic Kingdom the last park of our trip. I kinda want to see that silly castle on our last day :lovestruc

I totally get it. Right now I have MK planned for that day. On our last trip we did MK on our last day and it was pretty magical. I think you're right about the slightly smaller crowds but it probably won't be super noticeable - Josh last year picked MK as the most recommended park on that Friday. Out of curiosity what park is your alternate? I have AK on Thu and MK on Friday but who knows if I'll keep it that way, lol. I've been switching things around on my schedule constantly.

I have AK on thurs and MK on Fri right now.We ended with MK last year too and I think I want to do that again, screw those crowd predictions haha!

while I love AK, I don't think it will be a great park to end with for my family...

Currently I've got:
Sun - no park, Ohana breafkast and T Rex Dinner, spend afternoon at Disney Springs (may change because a 6th park day is SO CHEAP!)
M - HS (sci fi or H&V holiday dine)
T- MK (Whispering Canyon)
W - EP (Via Napoli)
Th - AK (Yak and Yeti)
F - MK (BOG or Chef Mickey)

Our schedule looks very similar. We're doing MK on Sunday and then I have this convoluted thing on Tue (We'll probably be at MK at some point on Tue) but yeah, very close. Looks good. I'm glad to see yours, it helps me feel like I'm on the right track!

I am contemplating moving my trip to this time (11/27-12/5) Can you guys give me a rough amt of what you are paying? It looks like everything 'cheaper' is gone and I am left w mainly Deluxe to choose from. I can get a CBR pirate room, tho...

I am staying 11/26 - 12/3 at All Star Sports in a standard room and upgrading to the disney dining plan for around $2400. That's with the 5 day park hoppers.

If you want to switch, check to see whats available a few times per day and something you want might become available. I've checked randomly the last few weeks since the promotion dropped and it's always changing.

That is AMAZING! How many people is that for?

2 adults, 1 child (7) and 1 under 3 (so no cost for tickets or dining)

With the free dining, we got the quick service plan for free and paid the per day fee to upgrade that. So if you didn't want to eat at any table services you could stick with the free quick service plan and save even more.

$2,609.20 for 11/27 - 12/5 in standard room at CBR, 6-day Park Hoppers, free dining for 2 adults. We may spend about $30 more and upgrade to 7-day Park Hoppers if MK is open for EMH on Wednesday (our Harry Potter Universal day) or Saturday (our Disney Springs and resort-hopping day).

Still hoping one day I'll be able to switch to our preferred dates of 11/28 - 12/6.

I had just been looking at CBR rooms and wondered if anyone had gotten a standard room w/ fd during this week. Glad to know someone did!
