Hi! The more I think about it I'm really wanting to add a holiday trip this year. We are going in August for sure; it is already paid for. I haven't been to Disney for Christmas since the very early 2000's. IT was the year they had the artists set up to sign special Christmas pieces and it coincided with the Candle Procession I believe. I didn't know about this wonderful place then and swore I'd never go when it was so crowded EVER again! lol

I'm thinking of 11/29-12/3, right after Thanksgiving. The hotel prices drop and I can get the AP I've been going back and forth about for my August trip. Deluxe is unblocked.

IS this a good time to go? I'd like to see the Christmas decorations and I'm planning on GCH.

Thanks everyone!

Define good time????? With GCH and maxpass you will have no problem boarding attractions. From 9- to close park will be light as will be the first few hours in the morning, that is how you will navigate the two parks in the crowded holidays that is missing the week after thanksgiving that was available in 2018 but not for 2020, so folks from that 2018 week that all mixed in with your week choice.

Given your DLR touring style, I think you and your son could have a great trip during this time! You already know the parks well enough to find your way around. You'll have your reservations and plans made well before you arrive. And you'll know that you won't be trying to do "everything," so you'll be able to take time to really enjoy the decorations and special little things that happen during Holiday Time. Make sure to join the 2020 Holiday Time Superthread when it starts and look over the 2019 superthread to get a good idea about what was offered and when.

If you’re looking for the holidays, then you definitely can’t go wrong with that week. Obviously the last two weeks of December are crazy busy. I was just there during the second week of December, and it wasn’t too bad at all. Don’t think the first week would be that much busier.
