DH - Rick (49) - Driver and chief worrier
DW - Julia (42) - Co-Pilot and wanderer (where is your mum?)
DS - Matt (15) - Chief Babe Spotter
DD - Nicole (13) - Disney "wannabee Animator"
This is our 12th visit as a family and first time to Cypress Pointe.
We have surprised the kids twice before but this time is definitely the biggest yet (Suprised will be revealed on Trip Report for Aug/19th).
Day 12 - Aug/21
Woke up at 6-30am ans saw the sunrise from the verandah.
DH and DW got dressed and went to breakfast while the kids were left sleeping in their bunks. Nice quiet breakfast. Back down to get the kids and accompanied them back up to get their breakfast.
We then go back to the cabin to watch the ship dock in Nassau ,Bahamas.
Unfortunately even Disney could not get the weather to comply and the rain came down. DW and DD decide to stay on the ship while DH and DS go ashore from Deck #1. Thank goodness they took their ponchos because the rain was good and steady through to 3pm. DW and DD go up to Deck #9 for a drink at the Drink Station . DW read a newspaper while DD draws Disney Pictures. Very relaxing. DW and DD then continue to explore and bump into DH and DS coming back on board after their soaking adventure. We then go to Disney Mickey Trivia in the lounge while DS goes swimming (the rain is now off). At about 2-30pm we all meet up and go to see the movie Pirates Of The Caribbean ,Dead Mens Chest. We all agree that the first,original movie was better (although DW quite enjoyed her viewings of Johnny!).
A Johnny Depp lookalike (as well as many others) were roaming the ship.
We hoped to eat casual tonight but did not realize that the Buffet restaurant on the Wonder is only open for lunch and breakfast (unlike the Magic). So we ended up getting dressed and going to Tritons. Once again the dinner was nice but it does take a bit long to get served(we are not very patient and we find that its a bit to much "of a production" for our taste.). We had Amaretto Cheescake and Chocolate Lava Cake for desert and both were delicious.
After dinner we go back to cabin and change clothes where we bump into Wana our cabin hostess who is doing our turn down service. She is almost finished and shows DD how to make a towel animal.
Next we are off to see the stage show Hercules while DS goes to the Teen Club. Not overly impressed with the show but it was OK. Haedes and his side kicks were funny though. After the show we wander through the stores which are jammed packed with folk who have too much money !
DW still manges to afford a magnet !
DS comes back to the cabin about 11-30pm .
