Wednesday's sickie roll call

GOing back to work tomorrow.... lol, that is enough to make me feel worse! :faint:

I am going back to work Friday. That's make sick there to.

My co-worker is really sick but does she stay home? Nope, she's here coughing like crazy. I'm afraid to touch anything. I'm using my pen or a paper clip to push the buttons on the copier machine because she uses it all the time. I keep running to the bathroom to wash my hands -- I'm just so skeeved that I'll catch what she has! And I'm the worst when it comes to having a cold -- I have it for weeks. I just can't shake it off.

I know how htat is. There are a number of my co-workers that come to work sick. I try to wash my hands a lot and have a bottle of hand sanitizer at my desk. Still, I ended up getting really sick. Go figure. :paw:

I hope everyone feels better soon. I am back at work part days for this week. It still is taking a lot out of me since I am so low energy right now. :paw:

Yep, I can understand what you are saying. But, unfortunately a lot of people have no choice these days. At my work, we get all of 5 sick days -- just routine doctor's appointments and tests in a year can use up most of those. Then when you are sick, you have no sick leave and most people need their paychecks.

In October/November 2005, 90% of my office was sick with a hacking cough, congestion, sinus, etc. I used Airbourne and alcohol based cleaner on my hands -- everytime I left my desk and touched door handles, file cabinets, etc. I was one of the very few people that didn't get sick. I wash my hands so often in the winter, it seems like I am always doing it. But, so far, it has really paid off.

I'm sick! Just back from the doctors office...again. Went in last week due to persistent muscusy cough and mild fever. Doctor (who has been my primary care physician for NINE years and I just met for the first time at this visit) listened to my chest for about 30 seconds and said I was probably fine but he'd give my a z-pack since I seemed "frustrated." Um...yeah, I have a lifelong history of bronchitis, but let's not spend more than 30 seconds listening. I swear the physicians assistants and nurse practicioners give better and more thorough care at this place.

Anyway, the z-pack did not take, and chest x-rays today confirmed that I have double lung pneumonia. So now I have a bunch of new antibiotics to try out. The upside (I guess) is that I get the rest of the week off from work. (And yes, I have been out for the beginning of the week too--would not force my coworkers to put up with the coughing!)

Well I'm still sick, sitting here w/one red nasty pink-eye. My DH won't even come near me, he keeps going completly out of the way to avoid me, didn't even want me to make him his dinner. I told him I was no longer contagious, but he doesn't buy it. Gee, that makes me feel great

Ick.........I also have double pneumonia........and I doubt it will only take you the rest of the week to feel better. Do take care of yourself and allow yourself time to get better completely. :paw:

I've been sick since Saturday, I'm feeling somewhat better this morning but I still have a sore throat. My DS who is on the last week of his winter break got it worse than me a couple of days ago, he's still in bed. I've been just resting, doing laundry, disinfecting the house so no one else gets it.
How long does this thing last? I hate being sick, my Airborne really let me down this time, usually it works for me.
