in case you need the answer from yesterday:


If P stands for PIZZA, S for SUBS and f for fries
3p + 7s + f = 120
4p + 10s + f = 164.50

solving these two we get
p + 3s = 44.50
rewriting 3b +7s + f as
2p + p + 7s + f = 120
2(44.50 - 3s)+ p + 7s + f = 120
89 -6s + p + 7s + f = 120
p + s + f = 120 - 89 = 31



there were several variations of how people got to $31...but as long as your total was $31, I considered it correct!

And as far as yesterday's, I started with the correct 2 equations but never finished. I was trying to solve for each item and couldn't do that.

I was going to try and give an answer to the riddle, but, Steph's
hieroglyphics on page 2 gave me a huge headache.




Besides back in 1977 Pizza was only $.25 a slice and you could get a hero for $.75 and fries for $.35.

this riddle isn't that hard to figure out, if you can take the time to think about it

Gerri, are we going back to the '77 thing again? I can handle being called the "baby" of the group... you'll have to live with the other end of the spectrum there
