So, everyone says getting these weddings together is really taxing and stressful. Thus far, I hadn't really felt any of that. I found my dress the first day I went shopping. We found a tux right off the bat. My biggest problem, so far, were shoes, but even that worked out. Now, I am having an Intimate, which take much less planning than customs.

As of today, I am so stressed out it isn't even funny.

I leave for my wedding a week from Saturday, 9 days. I found out this morning that I have four days to move. I have three days fo finals. I have to work each day before I leave. I still have to put together my welcome bags. I haven't finished my newsletter. I need to re-pack. I have no time! What am I going to do?

Okay, I feel better now.
Just want to thank everyone again for always answering my questions!

Relax, it will all get done somehow. Try and enjoy all of this prep time, it goes by sooo quickly and then it's over.

Enjoy your day and savor every minute of it. Take a moment during the reception or dinner and sit back with your new husband and take it all in, make a mental picture of everything and all the people that have traveled to be with you on this special day.

Congrats and have a great day.

Stacey

P.S. I was married 9/27/03 so I know what you are feeling.

I must admit, I have not really been stressed either. I think that is because I know that disney will take care of everything. My first wedding, now that was stress. I only had six months to plan!! Decide on a location for ceremony, reception, had 21 attendants serving including a cat as the ring bearer, menu choices for 250 guests, limos, horse and carriage, tuxes, honeymoon, in-laws, children at the wedding, etc. This time all I have to do is find a dress and pick out music!! Yeah for disney!! They take all the stress out of a wedding!! :sunny: :sunny:

Velvet Gloves - I know just how you feel - I was keeping all my stress in and it turned into a high blood Pressure count for the first time ever - this stressed me out even more, but I went to the doctors today and I'm back to normal after sticking rigidly to trying to just chill - yes it's meant that things didn't get done but my health mattered more.

Wishing you lots of stress free times ahead for the next 9 days looking at your schedule you're gonna need to stay calm cool and collected and if not just do what Lilo does and scream into a pillow ;)

Maybe you should remove your countdown? I used the website www.theknot.com for my wedding to help me keep organized. The problem was, every time I visited the site, it said how many days left to my wedding! No problem when it was 300 days out, but when it got to double and then single digits--
...just a thought...

But to keep me sane before my wedding, I tried to think about the honeymoon. We went to Hawaii, so I got some Hawaiian music and listened to it; I looked at webcams, I read about the islands, etc. I just took a few minutes every day to think of something relaxing, not stressful. So maybe you could do something like that?

And know that the most important thing about all this is that you're marrying the awesome guy! :teeth:

Best wishes!

Thanks for all the great suggestions.

I'm starting to calm down a little bit. I've managed to arrange for a day off of work before I leave. I found another apartment, which is going to be cheaper. I just need to sit back and take a minute to chill out.

As usual, you guys are right. I've actually had a hard time accepting that my wedding is less than two weeks away because I haven't been overly stressed....until today. You guys are right when you say Disney takes care of everything. They are just awesome...now, I just have to hope it isn't going to rain....

Thanks again,

Velvetgloves,
Don't let a little rain worry you. Remember, your mother got married in a snowstorm...we all survived and so will you. You are smart & strong and the daughter every mother hopes they have. I am so proud to call you mine!

Love, Mom =0)

P.S. I have to say your choice of a wedding location is SOOOOO much better than mine was. Of course, way back then Disney didn't share their locations for weddings. (We did honeymoon there though!)

I'm glad to hear your feeling better. I'm in the middle two hugh school projects and studying for finals right now and I was getting sooo stressed because we haven't finished the wedding plans yet and family is pushing my buttons. I had to tell everyone that I am not discussing the wedding until finals are over. I wish you the best of luck, no rain, and I can't wait to hear all about it when you get back.
