OK, what's up with this thing?? :confused3 :confused3 I hate to say it, but so far it seems pretty stupid. My guests can't book they're tix yet because nothing has opened for '09. (which is ridiculous!) And do they only save $20?? That's laughable! Also, it's not correct and does not have everything updated. It doesn't include the honeymoon registry. Am I confused here or what? What is the point to this thing??

Excuse my grumpiness, but it is very frustrating when I'm bugging my guests to book and they can't even get an exact amount. Now, most of them are staying off property (which for some reason frustrates me:confused: ) and I'm just frustrated!!

Yeah, it's pretty clunky and uncustomizable. I think many brides do their own websites elsewhere, like www.weddingchannel.com or on the Knot.

And yeah, guests only get $20 off and it has to be a park hopper. Plus, we had the same problem with prices not being out for our guests until the last minute.

Your Wedding Consultant (the sales person, not your Wedding Event Planner) or his/her assistant can update any of your info that is incorrect. And if you give them the web addresses of the places you're registered (including the Disney Honeymoon Registry) they can put those on your site.

But you called it - the wedding website they provide is nearly as useless as the DFTW Wishbook! :rotfl:

I agree. I am going to make my own website and direct everyone to there. I also am doing a newsletter to send out to everyone with information on who to call to get tickets and reservations.

OH man i was getting all excited waiting to get into mine..lol

Do you mind if i ask what places you are putting in your letter? Most of our guests will be on a low budget and i was trying to think of where to send them..
I have a few asking me if others want to room together .. We had a problem booking our own reservation because it is in 2009 they gave us a hard time.

I had to wait until this month to make my reservations for the honeymoon but apparently if you have your room blocks with the wedding coordinator all set your guests can make reservations. They usually tell you to pick a value resort, moderate resort and a deluxe. I chose All Star Movies, Cornado Springs, The Grand Floridian and The Wilderness Cabins. I am just telling everyone to call the phone number for Disney that you would normally call for reservations. If you guests want to book with a travel agent, they can but get their reservation number so that you can give it to your planner and they will put it toward your room minimum.

OMG the Disney wedding website is so terrible. LOL

And yeah, totally, the ticket discount is pathetic.

DF and I just made a little blog site at blogspot.com that we sent the URL to our guests at the bottom of a little Save-the-Date card.

We put all sorts of WDW travel info on our blog, with links to popular Disney trip planning websites, and tips on getting hotel and ticket discounts at Disney.
