Wedding/Vow Renewal & Characters

This may seem like a silly question, but I was just wondering whether anyone knew whether Disney allowed bride/groom to wear Disney costumes, eg Princess and Prince? Or is this against policy because of the characters etc?

Secondly, I really like the idea of a character or two attending the reception but it is a lot of money. Has anyone had characters where they felt that it was not worth the money?

This may not help but...at Tokyo Disney they encourage couples to dress up as Princesses and Prince characters for their wedding. You would have to ask DFTW about it, I'm not sure I think it would depend on your locations, etc.

I had Mickey and Minnie at my intimate vow reneal recpetion and was VERY HAPPY that I did. I am a big Mickey fan and i just love all the pictures we got - dancing with Mickey, Kissing Mickey, Proposing to Mickey, Mickey covering eyes while bride and groom kissed. It was also nice to have Minnie so Mickey and Minnie could "play" off each other. I do agree it is a lot of money - so it all depends on why you choose disney as a location - for me it was Mickey!
