wedding themes

Our theme is Petals & Pixie Dust...the story is in my PJ...in the first couple of pages...In short, my grandmothers name was Rose, and the last movie that I took my grandpa to see (her husband) was Beauty and the Beast. Disney has always created pixie dust for us. During some trips, each day is more magical than the next.
This is kind of an "unsaid" theme...If you asked DF what our theme was he wouldn't have a clue. Honestly, I'm not certain he knows that we are using red roses...:rotfl: Really the whole thing surrounds the red rose. Pretty monocromatic but simple and perfect for us.:lovestruc

I don't know if you could say that we have a theme per say, but we are getting married in October and I absolutely love fall colors, so that is pretty much what I am basing things on. My dress is going to be more of a champagne color, the girls will be wearing chocolate brown dresses with the flowers for the bouquets being mostly burnt orange. Other than that we are trying to put a bunch of personal touches to everything, like the ceremony, table names, etc....

And we are having a brunch reception....simply cause breakfast is our favorite meal of the day, and we figure it our day, so why not! :thumbsup2

we are sort of having the "anti-theme, theme wedding" lol. Our is "No Frills, No Fuss, Just Fun", we are having playful details and not too much traditional wedding stuff. We want our wedding to feel like a huge party, not a super formal event (way more our style:goodvibes)

Good luck, keep us posted.

Oh DF wanted a Red Sox theme but I vetoed it... I love the Sox just as much as he does, but since our wedding is the day after the superbowl, and our rehersal dinner is a pre-game tailgate part I didnt want to OD on sports lol!

A tale gate party sounds fun!!! but i like your idea of "no frills, no fuss, just fun" it seems simple, easy and something people would like as well. :)
