DH's cousin is getting married and I know we will be invited to the wedding, we got a "Save This Date" card in our Christmas card. We live about 10 hours from where the wedding will be and we will not be attending. (#1 because of the distance/expense and #2 because the next weekend we are going away for a long weekend in celebration of DS's 10th birthday). We have never met the bride to be and we rarely see DH's cousin, although we really enjoy him, distance just never puts us in the same place at the same time and we rarely communicate (Christmas card only). My question is this, are we required to send a shower gift and a wedding gift or can we just send one gift at the time of the wedding?

If it were myself.. I would think just the one wedding gift would be fine at the time of the wedding..

I think just the wedding gift, at the time of the wedding would be fine. I'm planning to do that with my cousin's wedding in September. :goodvibes

ONly send a shower gift if you've been invited to a shower then buy one small shower gift & 1 small wedding gift. BUT if you're not invited to a shower than just the wedding gift is sent.
