wedding scent!

So heres a little funny story, I went to the mall to get a wedding scent. So I bought Vera Wang Princess - - - I thought it was appropriate.

I come home and tell DF that I bought it and he couldn't believe that I had to buy a wedding scent! And I said that I needed everything perfect down to the smell. I said that I wouldn't wear it until the wedding. Anyways, he was a little peeved that I got it.

Soooo, what did you or will you wear as a wedding scent on your day???!!

Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker. LOVE THAT SCENT. I started wearing it when it first came out, then DF bought it for me for christmas last year, he LOVES it. we separated briefly this year and when we got back together he said he missed the scent so much! when i spray it before i go to work in the morning and then i hug our cats, they end up smelling like it and it reminds him of me! it reminds him of home and i couldn't dream of wearing anything else! it's the only thing i'm wearing on my wedding day that i'm certain of!

That is too funny, my DF said the same thing to me a couple of weeks ago when I was talking about looking for a wedding day scent. He wanted to know what was wrong with my normal perfume?

I wore Love Spell by Victoria's Secret. Everytime I wear it, it reminds me of our wedding day

I wore J'adore by Christian Dior for the Wedding, which I thought was very fitting, I too saved it for the big day.
For the honeymoon I wore Curious (Britney Spears) which I think is very me

I usually wear Coco by Chanel; I, too saw the Vera Wang scent. I really don't know what to do now. I love Coco, and I've worn it since I was 16, I'm scared that a new perfume will be odd... Maybe I should just go for it.

I've worn Happy by Clinique for YEARS. Then I had one of those poisonous friends who said that happy was gross and every teeny bopper kid wore it and what not. So, I tried and tried to find a better perfume and get rid of happy. But I couldn't. So, I got rid of the poisonous friend instead.

It's familiar, it really does make me happy and DF will recognize it. That's all I need. I'm not trying to make me any less me on my wedding day

Urgh, what a horrid "friend"! I don't know anyone else who wears my perfume - but I love it. I'm sure none of my friends would think of wearing it, they probably think it's an old fashioned scent, but my Gran bought it for me when I was 16 and it's a part of me. It was the only one that didn't make me sneeze!

I've been wearing Vera Wang's Princess since May and I LOOOOOVE it! I always carry around the the little lip gloss combo and also plan to wear in on my wedding day too....it's DF's favorite.

I also wear Happy. I love that scent and have worn it for years. It's funny that this subject is being brought up. It is something I have been thinking about as well. I will probably wear Happy as I am afraid a new scent would not be "me". I have been collecting small samples of Happy from the Clinique counter whenever I go and I am hoping to have enough to put them in my Welcome Bags. If I don't have enough for everyone I will make sure to get enough for my close girlfriends.

I never thought about it until reading this post! I've worn Armani (first Mania and now Code) for 5+ years. I think it'd be a little weird to smell completely different on my wedding day. Although the "Princess" perfume is fitting! I guess a "wedding scent" is more for girls who switch perfumes to fit the day or mood, not someone who's been wearing the same scent for years.

I wore Clinique's Happy in Bloom. It is my favorite and I didn't want to try a new scent for the wedding day.

I think that having a wedding scent is an important thing (whether it is classic or a brand new pick). I wear a lot of different perfumes, and I have noticed that DF does associate different scents. Like one time I wore a bath and body works spray and he said it always reminds him of us on vacation because i would wear that being light and summery, and I would rather pack a plastic bottle than a perfume bottle. The scent I love is Anna Sui "Secret Wish", it is different and is perfect for me. DF loves it. And I have purposely not worn it all year and am waiting to wear it again for the wedding day so it can be remebered as special. Another trick is use the same scent shower gel that day, then layer with the scented lotion, then wear the scent. Your body will be layered and the scent lasts longer and your DH will remember the scent even more!

OK Girls!

So I went on ebay to find the Vera Wang Princess perfume to try. I got a great small "roll on" bottle to try for less than $10 with shipping. We'll have to see what DH says about it. He has a sensitive snooter when it comes to fragrances. I have to be careful about what I wear. I've got my fingers crossed.

I usually wear Ralph Lauren--either Lauren or Romance

What a neat idea! I'm telling you ladies, I better find somebody to marry me quick so I can use all the tips I've been picking up from this board. As for scents... I usually wear Jo Malone's Nectarine Blossom and Honey but the beauty part of her stuff is that because they're very light and natural you can layer the different scents to create something entirely unique. So maybe a spritz of Grapefruit or Honeysuckle and Jasmine, maybe even Red Rose. There's so many possibilites!

I just realized I sound like I work for the company. Oops!

Edit: Ok, I'm a total nerd but I was just at the Jo Malone website (the UK version) and there's even a whole wedding section! Now I really should go work for the company. I'm done now, I promise.

Hmm I never even thought of wearing a special scent on my wedding day! I have a few different perfumes I wear...I get bored with just one scent. DF probably won't notice what perfume I wear, so I'm not too worried about it. He just likes clean shampoo-y scents.

I also especially like Romance by Ralph Lauren!

I wear a differnet perfume everyday but I have the Vera Wang original my mum gave me for Christmas after we got engaged for me to wear on my wedding so that's what I'll wear. I also have the princess one but I wear that one enough already. I like th eidea of having a special perfume for your wedding day. On my mum's wedding day my grandma (her future mil) asked if she remembered perfume. My mum said no cause she didn't wear perfume. Grandma whipped a little bit of Chanel No. 5 and spritzed her saying "Everyone is going to be hugging you like crazy, you're wearing a ton of dress and you will sweat like never before while in it. You'll need perfume." And then after the photos right before the reception my Grandma spritzed her again. Funny thing? 30+ years later my mum know wears perfumes and although she has several faves Chanel No. 5 willl always be her #1 because it was the first perfume she wore and it was the one she wore on her wedding day.

I'm also wearing Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker. DF got it for me on my bday two years ago after it came out, and he loved it. Then he gave it to me again Christmas last year, b/c I was almost out. I'm getting close to the bottom of the bottle again, so I've quit using it much b/c I MUST wear it on our wedding day!
