Wedding Planner Changes

Hello! So I have had an up and down relationship with my planners! I loved Stacey my sales rep. Then i was assigned Pamela Mattack. I really didnt get to connect with her much, early on nothing to talk about. I liked her assistants. Then one was promoted. Then Pamela went on maternity so I was assigned an interim planner who was going to conduct my planning session in Pams absence. Ok cool. I confirm on Friday for my Tuesday planning session and no word. Tuesday I show up to meet my NEW planner. Not interim but taking over. I can honestly say my fiancee was annoyed as well as my mom about all the changes and lack of communication.

But i am soooo relieved now that I have one new planner with me every step of the way. Its Christy Jacoby. She is awesome! recently promoted as she was a few other planners assistant. I am so excited to be one of her first weddings she does on her own. She is awesome! Responsive. Sent me a recap the next day of our planning meeting and is on the ball!

She wasnt any of my previous planners assistants so if anyone knows any more about her I'm interested but if anyone else is reassigned I love her! It made the juggling so worth it!

She is/was my planners assistant. I haven't heard of any changes if she was promoted. Yo think they would notify you about somethin like that

Congrats on getting someone you're thrilled with. I have been assigned Pamela...out of curiosity, were you re-assigned because Pam's possibly not coming back? Or were you re-assigned since your planning session occurred while she was out? Just curious I have had Jamie in the interim, and I too barely talked to Pamela before she was out on maternity. I have my planning session in September, and she's supposed to be back by then, but I wasn't sure if something changed.

I love Christy! She was one of my planner's assistants and was extremely pleasant to work with! She's very responsive and knowledgeable and I think you will really enjoy working with her.

I knew she had been promoted the last time I emailed her. I always included her in my emails to my planner as she seemed to be able to respond quicker than my planner. She had an auto response stating that she had been promoted and identified the new assistant that would be assisting my planner.

I do not know why I was reassigned. I never expressed my frustration or concern to them about being bounced around so its not because I threw a fit or anything hahaha!

Pamela is supposed to be back the 2nd week in August. Christy said she was not taking on all of her weddings but just easing the load so I dont think Pams not coming back but i honestly didnt ask!

I'm just relieved to have someone permanant who knows and understands what i wanted from the planning session to the wedding day and not having to rely on the game of telephone and relaying messages and interpretations!

Jamie Ledet is Pamela Mattack's temporary replacement until she returns in August. When I met with Pamela and Jamie in May, they were so helpful and had very easy going personalities. I look forward to Pamela returning -- Jamie has been very helpful with all of my questions, etc.

Glad you feel more secure in your newly assigned planner -- you definitely need to feel comfortable with your planner, so I'm glad you now feel that way!

This coming friday, I will have been waiting EIGHT WEEKS for my BEO from interim planner. I have contacted her about it and she just claims that other weddings have come up that are before mine. I think eight weeks is way too long when I was told 3-4 weeks.
