Wedding Newsletters

I remember needing ideas so I will post what I finally came up with - I created them in PhotoShop so I can't send them out for you to edit unless you also have Photoshop. PM me if you have Photoshop and would like the files.

Page Three - We had been getting questions about some of these things in particular so I found information from various websites and put this page together.

Page Four - I had checked out a book from our local library that was called Disney on a Budget (I think) and made this page but I have learned that not everything is correct. The book said that POR has rooms that will fit 6 people but I'm pretty sure that's wrong. Good thing none of our guests questioned me :rolleyes1

Those are great!!! I wish I had photoshop, but I just have printshop and paintshop. I tried to make a newsletter last night but it looked nothing like yours. Mine was ridiculous! :rotfl:

I created 4 different newsletters for my traveling guests and sent them out every other month from March - Sept. Each one had a different focus:

Newsletter #1: Discussed our plans and why we choose Disney. It also offered some basic package prices frome expedia.com

Newsletter#2: All about Disney: Our resort of choice, Disney Tickets/Pricing, and Magic Your Way

Newsletter#3: All about our family and guests and ressie info

Newsletter#4: All wedding info: Florida Weather Information, info about our Wedding Officiant and Intimate Wedding Coordinator, our Wedding Day Itinerary and our Post-wedding Celebration Information

Feel free to view our download our: Wedding Newsletters

I LOVE your newsletter.... I would like to use it as a template!!!

Thanks! Once you figure out how to use PhotoShop the worst part is trying to get an idea for the layout and spending the time to make it (I probably put way too many hours into my newsletter). I do some freelance graphic design (brochures and things) so once I got an idea of how I wanted it to look it wasn't too bad since I'm familiar with the program. For the shadows behind the photos I just made a square and overlaid the photo (pretty simple with this program). The mickey ears at the bottom of the second page still aren't quite right but I was in a crunch to get them in the mail. If you ever need help (especially after our wedding in June) just send me a note, I'd be happy to help :). Thanks for the compliments... after spending so much time working on my newsletter it means a lot to hear it was worth it :goodvibes.

Thanks!! I got hooked on Photoshop using it in my high school art class and now I use it all the time. It's definitely not worth the money if you don't plan on getting a lot of use out of it (it's pretty expensive) but there is a program that you can download that is similar but free called Gimpshop. It took me quite a few versions before I started to like my newsletter. I'm sure your newsletter will turn out great :thumbsup2. Good luck!

I too spent way too much time working on my newsletter. Even though I am a graphic designer, I find it very difficult to design anything for myself because I am so worried about getting it perfect. My fiance says no one else will notice the small imperfections, but I still spend way too much time fiddling over small details.

I went off KellyJo's great newsletter to create mine. I only wish I would have put in the stuff about the magic hours. I may just have to send out another edition closer to the wedding.

Here's how mine turned out. I used Adobe Illustrator to layout and create the newsletter.

What a beautiful newsletter Chantelle! Both you and Kelly, what awesome designs...it definitely shows that you put a lot of time/effort into them!

We are getting ready to do our 2nd newsletter and wanted to start one just for the wedding party members, so seeing yours has helped a lot. Thanks for sharing!

Chantelle, I love it!! Now I want to go back and make changes to mine :rotfl:. The mickey ear shadow in the background is great and I love the calendar you added!

MAN!!! I want PhotoShop!!!!! Those newsletters are amazing! I am very good with Publisher and have been playing around with it but haven't been able to do anything nearly that good :(

KellyJo!
Thanks SO much for emailing me your newsletters! They are so great! I don't think mine will turn out nearly as good, but at least I have some ideas brewing! Thanks again!:bride:

You're welcome! I'm glad to hear the email went through okay. I was worried since the files are so large. I can't wait to see how yours turn out!! Good luck :) I'm sure they will be GREAT! :goodvibes

Hi Everyone,

I am in need of a wedding newletter template. I have access to Publisher, Word, and Photoshop so if any of you other current and former DisBrides (and Grooms) out there that wouldn't mind sending me a sample of theirs it would be greatly appeciated. Here is my email address: army_clark@hotmail.com

Thanks for your help.

I'd love to see some newsletters - I really need some inspiration! (edited to remove email)

I love that newsletter Chantelle! Hey guys you may want to take your email address out of here in case anyone is looking for spam emails......PM the people you would like to see their copy. Just want to keep us protected.
