Hi everyone,

We're coming over to Florida from the UK, and getting married at Cypress Grove on October 28th, and we have been frantically searching for somewhere to have a meal after our wedding.

Thing is, we're not looking for a reception as such, as there will only be about 15/16 of us over there, and we will be having the party/reception when we get home.

Now here's were it gets tricky - me!! Or rather my eating. Despite being 26, i'm embarassed to say i'm a very fussy eater - Mr Plain if you will, and so far this has hindered in finding somewhere were we can go for our meal dressed u=in all our wedding regalia.

Now the ideal choice would have been at a restaurant in our hotel, as we plan to go back there to make use of the 24 hour pool/hot tubs etc afterwards, but there are no restaurants there which i can eat barely anything menu wise, and they have not replied to our emails about it - it's the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress were staying at btw.

Anywho, to cut this short (as i'm in work so technically should be erm, well, working!!), does anyone have any suggestions of where would be a good place to look at for this occassion - preferably around the Lake Buena Vista area. We've had menu's from a few places such as Planet Hollywood (with their special occassions fixed menus - which i like a lot, but not sure about the venue!!). We also contacted Wolfgang Puck (well, not him obviously, but you know what i mean ;) ) and got their special menu's too, but they seem to be for larger parties, and in the dining room area, rather than the grand cafe (why oh why am i such a bad eater :( ) - and again we're not sure about the location - DTD all dressed up in our wedding wear.

Well, i'm rambling (occupational hazard - i'm a teacher!!), so any suggestions or ideas from those in the know would be so so welcome.

Congrats, have you looked at some of the resort menus, allearsnet has loads of menus from all the resort restaurants. We are fussy eaters as well but manage to find something.

We are getting married in sept and coming from the uk as well

Congratulations to you too :goodvibes

Good idea about the resort restaurants, tho we steered clear initially as we didn't know how Disney are if you haven't got married "with them" so to speak!

I'll pass on the idea to the future Mrs. Me :)

I think they are fine as its a resort restaurant, you cant go in the park with the wedding wear on unless you book something with them but a resort place should be ok

Excellent stuff!! I may check out the Yacht and Beach Club's restaurants (as that is were we initially wanted to stay before realising we couldn't justify the price) or the steak house at the Swan (or is it Dolphin?)

Don Shula's, very pricey, everthing is ala carte, but very good according to my sister who's eaten at one of his restaurants. I can't remember which one of the hotels(Swan I think). I believe they have private rooms, which are probably subject to a certain $ minimum.

Beach & Yacht Club, you would probably be looking at the Yachtsman Steak House, unless you are interested in the seafood buffet at Cape May at the BC.

Think we're going to check this out as an option, along with the bluezoo after i've checked what non-fish options they offer :goodvibes
