If i plan to have dinner reception in Epcot Italy, does Guest HAVE to pay for theme park pass in order to attend my dinner ?

Please let me know

thx

We were at an iluminations dessert reception, and I don't think that they had to pay park admission; if they did, then I am sure it was discounted... Illuminations is at the end of the day; I would ask your FTW consultant how much they charge...

I don't believe that if they are attending a "hosted" party that they have to pay to get in. Some sort of arrangement is made and they are brought to the site usually. Where are you planning on having an event? Custom or intimate?

That was my sister's impression. She was originally going to have her dinner at Le Cellier and they wouldn't let us in without passes. We ended up eating at Yachtsman Steakhouse, and then going to Epcot for the Illuminations Dessert Party.

From my understanding, there is an illuminations viewing fee of $12.50. This is not applied to the food & bev minimum.

Yes, there is a service fee of $12.50 for Illuminations.

Jenn...I think that if your sister had Le Cellier used for a "reception", then the guests would have not paid to get in. If everyone just met there to have dinner in place of the recption that would explain it. The Illuminations Desert Party is considered a "Hosted Party" and the guests are not required to pay admission.

I believe that is how it goes, that is how our EM explained it to us. I could be wrong or it could have changed in the last few months.

for an illuminations dessert party or reception there is a $12.50 fee per person to view illuminations (the fee is waived if guests had visited epcot that day)

as for dinner only inside an epcot location (ie bistro de paris, american rotunda, living seas) there is a hostess fee of $90 for 50 guests to be escorted inside to/from transporation. your guests are not free to wonder epcot or illuminations in this circumstance.

if you are doing a reception/dinner on your own (ie an intimate wedding) then your guests will need park admission to dine at epcot.
