My nephew is getting married in 2weeks. We won't be able to attend, but I want to send a gift. It will be a small, outdoor wedding. This is my nephews 2nd marriage and his fiance's 3rd. They have 7 kids between them. They are not registered anywhere and my sister doesn't have any suggestions.

So, I could give cash, or a gift card, but I'd like to send something fun, or cool, or helpful or something;).she does like to cook, he likes to fix up cars, and that is about all the info I know!

Any ideas?

Thanks!
Katy

I love to give Garden Smiles as wedding gifts. Check out their website:

Garden Smiles by Carruth

The prices range from under $20 to a personalized piece for about $100.

These can be displayed in the house or in the garden. I have 5 in my kitchen and have lost count of how many are in my garden - somewhere around 15.

Congrats to your nephew and his new wife! Let us know what you end up getting them. Good luck!

How about a Qatar cookbook and some local spices and/or a kitchen item that is well known where you live?

Williams Sononma has this cool grill basket for grilling veges, etc. Some friends have one and use it all the time. I saw a similar one in Kohl's the other day in the Bobby Flay section but the WS one the handle comes off to so you can close the cover of the grill. After living on your own so long they probably have everything they "need". It's fun to get different things like this.

Here is a link to several styles:

What about a gift card to a nearby hotel/waterpark? Waterpark hotel if you think they'd want to take all the kids for a night or a nicer hotel for the 2 of them to get away?

I like to give a goft box of spices from Penzeys if someone I know lkes to cook is getting married. They offer many different combinations and sizes, in lots of different price ranges. Take a look here:

If you click on the description, you will see what the box set looks like. The bigger ones come in wooden crates with extra cinnamon sticks and nutmegs, etc. The smaller ones are packed in cardboard gift boxes.

I love that idea! But with them being adults with kids I would worry about them having all the "basic" cooking type things. I would go with a more exotic spice selection.

Hey I want to buy one for myself. I love Penzey's!

I love to give these personalized crocks. They're very substantial, and there are tons of choices in terms of design. I love giving them something that will last for years and has their name and year of marriage on it. (like 'Smith Family est. 2010):

Thanks everybody! Just the kind of stuff I was looking for! Now a quick note to my sister to help me decide!
Thanks!
