Wedding Gift Idea Needed...

How about a nice glass/crystal serving bowl? Something they would have for a long time, but it wouldnt necessarily have to match whatever china they had.

if they will have their own home you can purchase a gift certificate for a local nursery. in the spring they can plant a tree or blooming plants that they can enjoy for years to come and serve as a reminder of their wedding day. you can arrange for the gift certificate to be attached to a bud vase with a single red rose, the card reading "to enjoy now and in the years to come".

i had a friend who chose to use only potted plants for her wedding, all were planted in the yard of her first home-an ongoing reminder of their special day.

how about a gift card to lowe's or bed, bath & beyond type store to help set up their house, or maybe a gift card to their favorite restaurant for a night out. since you dont know their tastes i would go with a gift card or a check.

One of my close friends (& bridesmaid) snuck a picnic basket in our get-away car. It was filled with homemade cookies & other snacks that I can't remember, wine, glasses, plates, forks, napkins, and a nice note. She said after their wedding and by the time they got to the hotel afterwards they were starving, so they thought we would appreciate it. We loved it & it was probably the sweetest, most thought out gift we had received.

I always feel generic giving gift cards to Home Depot or Target as gifts, but I love to get them & sounds like most people do too. You always need something from those places!
