Hi everyone
Im new to this and was wondering who people are using for their wedding flowers?
I'm having my wedding May 18th 2009 at wedding pavillion and whitehall room. I don't really want disney's florist because they are very expensive!!!!
Can anyone recommened anyone?

Thanks

We're using disney for the bridal bouquet and grooms buttonhole, but my mom is making bridesmaids bouquets out of silk flowers. Both of them cost her a grand total of $23. Worth looking into if you're crafty at all....

we have the same wedding! mine is sept 2nd this year.

we are having disney do our floral and its all silk for the personal floral.

Our floral over all with flowers and centre pices and dessert party centre pieces and chair covers with napkins is around$1700

My bouquet is $300 but its silk so i get to keep it.

I run down of my floral budget is in my planning jornal link in my signiture

Thanks guys

I am trying to save money and only want minimal flowers, just my bouquet and 3 bridesmaids and center pieces for the tables at whitehall.

What are you having as ceremony flowers?

Nice to meet someone else with the same wedding, what colours etc are you having? Thats (1700) is not bad really for all the flowers, does that include all table decorations?

Don't be scared of going with Disney for your floral. They will work with you to keep to a budget.

I ordered these huge centre pieces (3 feet high) with green and white flowers for Amy's wedding and they only cost $55 that's about £28 each.

thats all my decorations, florla moving fees etc and my cake knive and server set,

if you look at my planning journal its all detailed

i'm having silver and pink and my flowers are roses, callas, sweet peas and orcids but all silk

my centre pieices are cyclinders with candels and floating blooms and scattered petels and votives and then my dessert partry one are cylinders with coloured gel a glwoing ice cube so they light up and mickey confetti in them.

chair covers and sashes and silver napkins with pink ribbon.

i have seen alot higher floral budgets and we can still make it smalle if needed.

our bm are having the rose wands and they too are silk as well as df bout and the best men bouts and mothers corsages as well

My daughter is getting married in Dec. and we are pretty sure that we are going to use Blossom's wedding flowers..She is a approved disney vender and her prices were very good..very easy to talk to...hope this helps..www.blossomsweddingflowers.com

I've had a look at blossoms too and Kelly's prices were very good and her designs really modern which is what I want.

orangetiggs, Wow that price is really good considering waht you gett. When do you get a planning kit with all the choices on? I really want to get things started!!!! :goodvibes

Just remember to check with Disney on their rules and regulations for outside florists. We are using an outside florists as well and I know Disney told us no open flames and warned us about set up times etc.

I have never heard of that blossoms place.

I have heard great reviews on raining roses and charming events, both companies have done many Disney weddings.

My wedding in July 8,2008...We are using The Flower Nook in Orlando...Christina has been great. We are getting my bouquet and 6 bridesmaids/ Grooms and 6 Grooms Men/ Flower Girl / Ring Bearer/ Both sets of parents and 1 grandparent/ 2 bags of rose petals for $639....They also give as a gift to the bride a Bouquet to toss ....That includes the delivery charge....So far I have been very pleased with the service and communication.

Disney floral is amazing and if I had more of a budget I would've done everything with them. I am using an outside florist for my bridesmaids bouquets, toss bouquet, boutineers, corsages, altar arrangement, and rose petals to throw, pew bows, etc all through Sheridan Florist here in Orlando for less than $200. The owner Caroline is amazing and has done several of my friends weddings. I am having candelabras with crystals and scattered rose petals around the base to save on my floral budget through Disney.
Good luck with your planning

found good service while preparing for the flowers we're going to use for our wedding, it was very nice!

i should have pics next week of my table etc for you to see, i will post them when i get back from honeymoon

I really didn't think Disney was expensive. They can make bouquets, centerpieces, etc. at any price range using different types of flowers that may not be as expensive. They are very helpful in giving you the things that you want but staying within your budget. I just think they get a bad rap for the wishbook which is totally off of what they really do. They offered me things that I didn't even think about or knew that they did. :thumbsup2

Another way to save money is to incorporate candles into your ceremony. We are doing candles for our centerpieces instead of flowers and the only flowers we are doing it my bouquest, MOH & BM bouquets, a couple of boutineers and corsages. I am hoping to keep in under 1000 if I can.
