Wedding Finally Coming Together!!!! (Picture of Cakes)

We recently celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary, and attended a dear friends 20th wedding aniversary party last night...(how did we get so OLD!).....my advice for your upcoming wedding- remember to have some fun! Enjoy and cherish the moment, take lots and lots of pictures (especially of those cakes, those are absolutely beautiful), and hold on tight to eachother. Remember this is YOUR time and your event, and you need to please yourself and not everyone else. REmember that time flies.....and soon you will looking through your albums and your children will be aghast because you didn't invite THEM to the wedding! You will be older, grayer, and more in love if you can believe that!

Good luck and God bless! Looks like you have everything under control. Sounds like an absolutely beautiful and meaningful wedding you have planned....a hint at the beautiful life you will make together!

Was the chocolate fountain very messy? I think it may be. We are having some children at this wedding. Both DS and FDIL did not want to exclude children and most are old enough to come to a wedding. We are having a reception helper who will be able to man the fountain.

The chocolate can get messy, regardless of age! We had children at our reception, but they weren't in the wedding party, so they were not overly dressed up, and yes, they got plenty messy. However, I think it is their parents responsibility to either let them get messy or help them eat. These kids were family and got pretty messy, but it didn't affect anything else. They just got their mouths and shirts chocolatey. The table with the fountain was just fine, because everyone had plates to put the food on. We had people from the fountain company come to watch and run the fountain, so we didn't have to worry about that.
You shouldn't have to worry about much if someone is watching the fountain, and if the parents are watching the children. As the bride, I was so busy that I didn't get enough of the chocolate!!! Plus I had to be really careful with the white dress. We did get a fondue set, though, so I can make up for lost chocolate. :rotfl: Make sure you get plenty to eat, because the chocolate is delicious!!!

Thanks for the chocolate advice. Everyone who has had a chocolate fountain has loved it!!!
