What type of favors did everyone have for their wedding? How did you get them to Florida?

I had silver heart shaped pictures frames with Mickey and Minnie on the side. It was also used as place sittings. If in wedding party, it would have their name and whatever they were (mother of the bride, bridesmaid). Got them thru Disney.

We're either doing cookies or caramel apples, depending on where our BEO for Disney comes in at. The apples would be through Disney (I really want them), but the cookies would be something we'd do through an outside vendor. If we didn't go with one of the local bakers and instead ordered from one that sells through etsy, I'd likely have them ship directly to the hotel we'll be staying at (that way I don't have to deal with transporting them).

We've got several other things we'll need to send down though, and all that stuff if probably going to be shipped.:thumbsup2

All of these ideas are great! I'm happy that I can send things directly to the hotel. My fiancé wants monogrammed pint glasses. We're still deciding though. They are kind of expensive for favors.

We brought chocolates from a gourmet chocolatier in our home state. They were bulk packed, so I took them down in my carry on. I had ordered small 2" favor boxes and tissue online, and I shipped those and our welcome bag goodies down to our best man, who is local. He brought the materials to our hotel when we arrived and I assembled everything in the room.

If you like alyaki's cookie idea, we got some really gorgeous frosted sugar cookies from It's Tasty Too, an Orlando bakery who also made our wedding cake. The cookies were Alice in Wonderland themed, and said things like "Eat Me", "Take One", etc. We handed them out at our farewell brunch.

Edited to add a photo of the cookies:

Those cookies look so pretty! It's tasty too is making my cake as well. I'll have to ask Heather about cookies. It's such a great idea!

Your cookies were the ones that made me want to do them. :) I'm always worried because It's Tasty Too doesn't currently advertise on their site that they do cookies (or didn't, when I checked). But I remember that they turned out really well!

Thank you! It's even better that Heather is making your cake too, because then she could deliver the cookies for free along with the cake.

Thank you! Their website didn't advertise cookies when I was planning my wedding last year either. I kind of lucked out and heard the cookies mentioned by another bride. I called and found out that even though they're not mentioned specifically on the website, they actually run specials on decorated sugar cookies from time to time. If you opt for cookies instead of the candy apples, be sure to ask if they're offering any deals on those.

We did two favors for our Escape wedding. Since we were getting married around Christmas, we had engraved ornaments created from personalizationmall. I bought them during their summer sale so got a good price. We also made CDs with the music we played during our 2 hour reception at the Attic. We packaged the favors in a kraft brown "pillow" box decorated with washi tape and ribbon that also served as place cards. For couples, the guy got the CDs, the girl got the ornament. Singles got one of each.

Since we only had 18 guests, we were able to make more things by hand...and I love crafts. I will try to get a couple pics posted this weekend. :yay:

The pics would be great! I would love to check them out! Those were really good ideas also. The CD idea is awesome. Everyone loves music. You're so lucky your crafty:) I have no artistic ability so I won't subject my guests to anything I try to create.:rotfl2:

I'm doing mine through Disney. chocolates that look like cast member name tags. They double as the escort cards

That is a really great idea! Since that is through Disney, will they set them out as escort cards for you too?

Cinderella Slipper Bottle Openers + Mickey gift bags that were homemade by my mother. She sent everything down via UPS from our town a few days before we left.

Thanks for the tip! Making sure to email myself about that (only way I can keep everything straight :headache:) so that I don't forget. That is really good to know!

We gave our guests Disney pins and lanyards & encouraged them to trade at the reception!

One saying on the pint glass or personalized per person?
