Wedding Ears

Me and my fiance are going to disneyland for our honeymoon. I am hoping to buy the top hat with mickey ears and my fiance is wanting the hair band with the ears and veil. Does anyone know if you can still buy them at the parks?

We were just there yesterday and they had them in the World of Disney store in DTD.

they also sell them at The Mad Hatter in Fantasyland located next to The Tea Cups and Mr Toads Wild Ride.Congrats to you both!

They sell them on Disneystore.com now as well when you go into the parks section

I think its called the Five and Dime shop in toontown, they have the custom hats. They will also have your wedding ears there aswell.
They have a beautiful all white hat with custome ears with rhinestones and you can pick a Wedding Minnie for the logo.

Was it the actual top hat, or was it that tuxedo top hat? I've read a few posts by people saying that the old top hat is discontinued (or about to be) and is replaced by the tuxedo hat (which is on disneystore), and there is much grumbling about it.

All I saw yesterday were bride ears...I saw no grooms wearing ear-hats, whereas last year I saw women wearing bride ears and their companions with the top hat with ears...

uh-oh....not sure which it was. I think (not positive) it was black Mickey ears with a top hat on top of it?? Sorry, I didn't look that closely. We did see one couple wearing them in the park. I remember specifically because the guy was wearing the bride hat with the veil and the girl was wearing the groom hat, with the top hat.

Edited: just looked at the disneystore site and I am not sure if it had the tuxedo on the front -- but it had the little top hat like that.

I bought my top hat about 2 years ago at the Christmas store in Frontierland. I'm sure they sold them elsewhere, but that's the only place that I saw them. My aunt bought her wedding ears a few weeks ago (she doesn't like headbands, so she's transferring the ears and veil to a baseball cap [she did the same thing with her Minnie ears) and only saw the tuxedo hat (so I'm loaning my top hat to my future uncle for the day when we go after the wedding).

A possible reason that people see a lot of bride ears and not the top hats is that those top hats are really small! DH and I went to WDW for our honeymoon and the top hat did not even come close to fitting and DH's head isn't that big. We ended up charming the girls who stitches the name into putting "Groom" on a set of plain back mickey ears while I wore the bride headband with the veil. It was really cute. Disney has a pretty firm policy regarding nicknames and we just happened to luck into someone magical who was willing to do it. Good luck finding your hat and congradulations!

People on the wedding threads have reported that the groom top hats are discontinued, so I think that's a pretty big reason they aren't seen. Last year, there were tophats galore (relatively), and if I saw bride ears on a woman old enough to be married (sometimes little girls have them on), I saw a matching groom tophat. But not these last couple visits for me, and when I saw the discontinued posts, I understood why.
