Wedding ears on anniversary?

Go to MGM to the embroidery place (name escapes me) they will embroider a patch and put it on the wedding ears for you. That's what they did for us in 2004 while we celebrated our honeymoon.

I say wear your ears with pride! Celebrate you ability to beat the odds and stay together.

Have a very Happy Anniversary!

IF all goes well we hope to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary - so, I was debating... I think I may go to a Craft store and pick up felt numbers and whip stitch them on to the glitter ears... with the "Groom" ears, since its black I was wondering about a patch!!!

We celebrated our 15th a few years ago in WDW. We are big pin collectors, and couldn't find the anniversary pin, so we each wore the Mickey and Minnie bride and groom pins. A CM in the Emporium spotted them and offered congratulations on getting married, and I explained it was our 15th Anniv, and she then smiled and called us "fakers" and walked off!!!! :furious:

We were shocked to say the least. We were made to feel like we were trying to get something for nothing, so we didn't wear them anymore. But later in the week, we did find the anniversary pin .

One hint though, tell it is your anniversary when reserving your room. We were surprised with a nice gift basket and signed picture of Mickey and Minnie at our room! :sunny:

I really like the ideas about writing the #'s on the ears of the wedding ears.

On the 50th Anniversaries coming up - - buy the golden ears out now and then put them on with your anniversary date and 5 0 on them. :sunny:

That's terrible! Anyone can have a honeymoon, that's an extremely common occurrence, especially in Disney World. But to be married and in love  after 15 years is almost a miracle with the divorce rates in this country.

Being a honeymooner is a very special experience, but a 15 wedding :bride: :groom: anniversary is simply magical. pixiedust:

If only I could get DH to wear them, I would wear them in a heart beat. Wear them with pride.

DH and I will be having our 20th anniversary vow renewal at WDW in May 2008 and we plan to wear the wedding ears while we're there. Geeze it's like so many of you have said, very few couples make it that far nowadays! I think we should celebrate every year.

Wear your ears with pride! pixiedust:

Go for it, I got forced wearing them on my honeymoon, I think all guys should share each other's pain.

I say go for it. :) I think it'd be cute. :) When I hopefully someday get married, I would love to go to Disney and wear me some cute ears. hehe.

We're celebrating our 15th March 10-18th. I definately think we might wear them. I'm very proud that I've been with DH for 15 years. Especially when we were married before he even graduated high school.

Another vote for wearing ears for your anniversary!! Anniversaries should DEFINITELY be celebrated!

I would love to go to WDW for our 10th - however we were just there last week so that's definitely not going to happen - lol!

Thank you for this thread. I think I will get them and wear for our 20th this year, plus I am putting this on a t-shirt for both of us. :thumbsup2

That's a great idea! I have a pair from our honeymoon and we're going in December for our 10th anniversary. I should wear the pair I got on our honeymoon. They have our names and date on them.

We will be buying some and wearing them when we go down in April. We have been married for 5 years and never got a proper honeymoon before so we are having one now!

I think you should definately get the ears! We'll be at disney almost a year after the wedding but I'm still wearing the ears. A late honeymoon is better than no honeymoon :)

Congratulations

We went for our 10th and I wouldn't want to wear them and know Dh wouldn't agree to it. I think they would be a pain to keep on and get in the way with everything we did and taking care of the girls.

Will be loooking for you. Will be there for my birthday March 9-13.

I like all the ideas people have of adding your anniversary years to the ears or adding a t-shirt or pin to signify an anniversary. I love seeing couples wear the bride and groom ears!!! Go for it!!

Now my DD (5yo) is one that wears around the Minnie Bride headband ears with sequins. She picked them out last year and LOVES them. She has quite a few other ears and Disney hats but loves to wear the bride ears best. She often gets cute looks and comments while wearing them.

OMG

Also don't forget to wear matching shirts, overstuffed fanny packs, water bottle strap, fan spritzer and bright colored crocs with socks......

I will be the one :lmao:

I wanted to do it last year when DW and I was celebrating our 12th Anniversary but she said there was NO way she was going to wear that thing. So this year, we are going and it will be two days before unlucky number 13 and it is going to be unlucky for her. I am going to break away from her long enough to go buy the hats, come back, and tell her I have a gift for her so she will have to close her eyes. Then, I will put mine on and then hers so it won't matter if she only wears it for a minute. At least I know she will have it on for that minute. Now, if I can only figure out how to get our picture made before she takes it off :confused3 :scratchin .

You might want to contact gifts of a lifetime and arrange to have one of their people show up at a pre-arranged point with both the hats and a camera...

We did the Magical Moments pins last trip. We got quite a few anniversary wishes; with the three kids it tow, it was pretty much a given that we weren't likely in the newlywed category. We'll see on the trip next December. We won't have the kids with us on this one, so we won't have a problem keeping ears in place while chasing after them... :rotfl:
