Wedding dresses

Just an update to those ladies who took an interest in my "project". I have researched and tried on numerous dresses. I have decided in either a solid red or sold black dress with a red and white polka ribbon accent. Those newer styles with the "pick ups" are catching my eye. Simply beautiful.

Waiting for a few more details to fall into line to decide if we can do the vow renewal in WDW or not. If we are, than I will order the fancy dress.

Yes, thanks. I think so too. Like previously posted, I really wanted polkas, and couldn't find any more than what some kind poster supplied me a while back. I found one of the dresses in person, and hated it on me. However, after going to the mall which I have been avoiding since the holidays, I see that polkas are in for spring. I found a few casual dresses and tons of accessories, so I think it might be easier than I expected.

Still holding out that the renewal will work out and a gown will work.

I am truly amazed at all the beautiful dresses on here! I can't post a link because DFi will probably come across it since he gets on here but I got the phone call yesterday that all my stuff came in and I'm going to pick it up this week!! I can't wait!!

Really want to tell my little story.

My sister got engaged two weeks before I did. She is having an Oct. 2007 wedding (March 2008 for me) and I am her maid of honor (she will be "matron" of honor for my wedding). We were supposed to go to the city to get our bridesmaids gowns when another bridesmaid was running late to meet us. We decided we would stop by a bridal shop we knew well to take a looksie (we had our minds set on another place). While we were killing time my sister tried on a couple of dresses for herself. Then mom told the owner I was a bride too and she chose some things for me to try. My sister got the first gown she tried on and I got my gown that day too (mom somehow knew that lady would give us a great deal on two wedding gowns). We never did pick out our bridesmaids gown that day.

There are some photographs in existence of me in my wedding gown but I am really paranoid about DF not seeing my gown (and especially me in it). Maybe I'll have the courage to post them when I go to my parents for the weekend and use their comp.

My gown is all white (no beige trim) and I think the hem looks horrible in this picture. Anyone else notice no photograph ever does a gown true justice?

The pink bow is adorable! I was looking for a dress with some kind of pink accent but couldn't find anything. I've settled for a pink tiara instead
