My aunt is getting married :bride: next summer at WDW!!! She will be in the Toronto area and would like to try on some wedding dresses (she now works way up north and there is very little there). Can anyone recommend a place that has lots of reasonably priced wedding dresses (she is plus-sized) that would be appropriate for WDW (it will be hot!)
Any help would be appreciated!

Hello! :wave2:

There are a couple of bridal places in the Spadina & Queen W. area. Unfortunately, I don't know the names of the shops.

But I walked by one of them the other day and I think they are having a going out of business sale. It is located just north of the Blockbuster on that intersection. I think there is also a store on the south-east corner above Letteri - but that place looks really expensive! There are also a couple of shops just south of there on the east side south of Adelaide. There's one on street level and another one that is a walk up.

As an alternative, there are several sellers on eBay in China to whom measurements can be sent and they will custom make a dress. Of course, I can't vouch for quality, but the prices are super cheap! There are also other sellers of samples and brides reselling their dresses on eBay, too. Lots of sizes to choose from.

Congratulations and good luck to your aunt on her dress shopping!

Spadina and Queeen area have lots of wedding gown stores.......everything from high end to design your own, to clearing out last year's stock. IT is defintely worth a day trip to this area of Toronto. Have fun!! :thumbsup2

Thanks,

I guess we'll be visiting the Queen and Spadina area next week! Hopefully something will pop out for her!

Thanks again! Andrea

Just south of Queen Street - at Richmond and Spadina, there is a store called Ellie's where my sister got her wedding dress, it was gorgeous! Try there.

Beckers Bridal on the Danforth.
Two friends of mine have got superb deals there.
Also too, another route was I found the dress I wanted in a magazine, and called the designer directly. (He's Canadian), he sent a sample of the dress I wanted to a local bridal store for my measurements, then had one made for me. It wasn't that expensive either.
