I have no idea why this even popped into my head, but it did - how much did you pay for your wedding dress? I think mine was somewhere around $1,200.

$550.00. My grandma bought it for me. This was 14 years ago, so I don't know what it would cost now.

$350 in 1988. My SIL the same year was over 3K. I still look at my dress (in pictures) and love it. It has since been altered and all 3 of my kids wore it has a christianing gown.

My wife's was about $1000 (I think. Maybe a little less). This was last May.

$450 in 1992.

I had looked at gowns by myself and then went with my Mom. When she brought into the dressing room the same gown I had tried on by myself I knew it was the one.

i lucked out. 19 years ago i got mine for about $299 while it retailed for around $2000 the season i was married:thumbsup2 the only reason i got that kind of a deal was because a bridal store did 2 sales a year where they sold out everything that was'nt for the current season. i went in july and got mine for the following march (it was a sale of floor models, and those other brides had flaked out paying completly for). i did'nt realize what a good deal i got until i saw the dress featured in quite a few bridal ads that fall in bridal magazines advertising upcoming spring/summer wedding dresses.

$99 at David's Bridal! And it was gorgeous.
But my headpiece cost $450! :scared1:

Mine was $1000. I had the mindset going in that I didn't want to pay more than that for a dress. I didn't ask any prices while going along, but when I tried on that dress I fell in love with it and probably would have paid anything for it. :rotfl: It just worked out that it was in my budget! :lovestruc

Around $250 in 2001. It was not a traditional wedding dress - it was a long sheath dress with a cropped short sleeved jacket, with faux pearl trim on the dress and the jacket - but it looked lovely with my DH's ensemble, which included a kilt.

Mine was $800, but with the changes I had made to the design (added short sleeves, elongated train), it ended up being closer to $1200. This was in 1999.

Abbout $140 in 2005. It was essentially a "bridesmaid dress" that I ordered in white. I just loved the sillhouette!

The question is, now what to do with it?

For my first wedding, my dress was around $300 in 1985. That was a traditional wedding gown.

For my second wedding, I think I spent about $50 for a pretty, pastel dress. That was just a regular dress--not a wedding gown.
