Did you travel with yours or ship it to your hotel?

I shipped mine to Carolyn Allen's Formalwear. They stored it, steamed it, brought it to me on the wedding day (and re-steamed it a little), then picked it up and mailed it back to my house for me.

Some of the best money I spent on the whole wedding!

I shipped mine too and did not stress out at all while I did. I had people say OMG what??? I would not let the dress out of my sight lol.

It was super easy not expensive at all. Just get insurance on the gown,God forbid something happens, and the tracking number. Every day I checked the tracking just to make sure it was on its way and to ease everybody's minds lol.

I'm one of the crazy ones who wouldn't let the dress out of my sight! (until after the wedding)
I managed to fit it into a carry on suitcase and brought it on the plane with me. I hung it up as soon as I checked into the GF and the morning of the wedding Carolyn Allen came to steam it.
It looked great!! The morning after, I left it with the concierge desk at the Poly and Carolyn Allen picked it up - preserved it for me and shipped it home.

What was the issue with the flight attendant? Did she want you to cram it into the overhead compartment?

We carried mine and my DH tux(rented it up here, returned it down there) onto the plane. We put them into the overhead bin. We were lucky and everyone was super nice. We got to board early to make sure that we got a whole bin to ourselves. Someone tried to cram a suitcase in there but I would have none of that!

I had Carolyn Allens steam my dress once we were down there and then pick it up the day after the wedding, clean it and send it back to my house

the FA was trying to tell me to put it in the overhead bin (not an option), but i had known that there were 20 extra seats on the flight, so we had a bit of a disagreement as to wear the dress would sit...
