I would like to use my wedding gown to make a bassinett cover. I have heard people talk about this but not sure where or how to start. I am able to sew but have not sewn in a long time. I anyone has ever done this and has pictures I would love to see them. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Why don't you ask this on the Arts & Crafts forum.
The people over there are really creative.

If you are going to have baby Baptised, I'd suggest using it to create a Baptismal gown instead; most people use bassinets for a VERY short time, if at all. (I never used one at all with my kids.)

I used my wedding gown to make a Baptismal gown, and really heavily gathered the skirt. Next year I will be reworking it again so that DD can wear it once again for her 1st Communion.
