Hi guys

I am after an un-biased opinion on my wedding nails if you wouldnt mind helping out??

I have bought 2 packets of false nails (just want something i can pop on and off) 1 in french manicure and 1 in a deep red, i am torn which to go for?? Any other brides had colour on their nails on the big day?

We dont have a colour scheme as such so its not like i would be tying the red into anything i just really liked the colour of them. People have said stick with french manicure so you dont look back and regret it....

Hmmmmm......

Sorry if this seems a silly question but i could do with some opinions! :)

Thanks all x

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! If you want the opinion of a MOB (mother of the bride to 2 brides within 8 weeks of each other!), I'd say go with the french nails. You want people to look at you (or THE RING, not your nails.)

I vote go colored! I mad 5 color marbleized nails for my wedding

I had blue/purple nails (color changing nail polish from del sol) for the wedding. I liked it.

I would say go with whatever you like the best. It's your wedding day.

I am doing Glitter pink. I am actually gonna buy the Incoco nail polish strips in pink glitter tips.. So it's like a French manicure but with pink tips. I think the strips are much better than fake pop off nails... For one you don't run the risk of one popping off mid day. Ck them out, Sally Hansen also has those nail polish strips.

I think i will try one hand with colour and one hand french over the weekend and see which i prefer.
I agree i want people to be looking at my dress not my hands but i am always painting my nails so i thought it would add abit of "me" if you know what i mean! Hmmmmm
I will check out those strips too, thanks.

Thank you for your opinions :thumbsup2 x

To me the French has a polished, classic, proper look to it so I would go with that. I am not a big fan of red at all.

Congratulations!!

No matter what I would choose I would aim to have them professionally done if at all possible simply because of pictures. I went with a gel polish french manicure but was considering a blue ombré French as well.

Wear what makes you happy!

It sounds like you like the red better than the French, so I vote ignore the haters and do what you want! Haha. I don't think you'll regret it. A splash of color is cute.

I love red nails but for the wedding I would go with the french. If you are using the stick on - and one falls off - at least with a french you will not be able to tell as much. If one of the red ones falls off - you will really be able to tell.

I am having the same decision with myself over my vow renewal.

I think I am going to go for French but i have 5 weeks to still decide:rotfl2:

I bought a packet of french today with little diamantes on and they look great (even though they arent professionally done!) I think i am sold on this style now as much as i loved the red

I plan to put the little glue tube in my bag incase ther are any emergencies :-)

i would go with the french for your finger nails and maybe paint your toe nails red for the splash of color, but i guess that would only work if you wore some open toe shoes.

I would definitely recommend getting your nails professionally done. It's a small expense when you think of how beautiful they will look for photos who will last a lifetime.

Glad you've decided on French with the diamonties :D

I was going to suggest do one on each hand at your next dress fitting, then you can see how each style goes with your dress :) xx

French nails are always timeless and compliment wedding dresses. Plus, they won't be bright like the red nails in all of your pics. You want people noticing YOU, not your nails.

I'm a wedding photographer, so I've seen brides do it all! especially lately with the trend in nail art. I always tell my brides to go natural and avoid acrylics unless it's absolutely necessary. A nice sheer pink or a classic french is timeless and will not date your photos.

here are a few pictures of what I did for my nails:

hope anyone who sees this likes them and I hope it helps.
