I'm trying to decide what my DH should wear for our vow renewal at Disney on May 1.

He can wear a black tuxedo w/tails and a Mickey vest like my boys.

Or he could wear his Army military dress blues, I think that is the part that bugs me:

Any thoughts?

Or he could wear his military dress blues--notice the pants are not the same color as the jacket--I think that is the part that bugs me:

Hello!

What time is your wedding? Tails really aren't appropriate unless your wedding or vow renewal is starting after 5:00. Having just come out of the military, I am partial to uniform :confused3

PS- The links to the uniforms aren't working for me. I am assuming it's USMC dress blues we're talking about?

Thanks - Actually Army officer dress blues - He is currently on deployment in Kosovo and the vow renewal is to "renew" our marriage and our family since this has been a loooonnnnnngggggg deployment.

Our vow renewal is at 4:00 (originally 5pm at Sunset Pointe) at the Wedding Pavilion. It may not be "appropriate" but I'm going to let my boys wear tails--just because they are cute!! :rotfl: If we go with the tux, DH can choose whether he wants tails or not. However, I think we are leaning towards dress blues.

I hear you on the Army uniforms! My brother just enlisted. My husband just got discharged from the Navy 2 years early (awesome deal- he went to Academy, but there are just too many officers right now and they asked for volunteers and he still didn't owe them for school!) His Dad was in the Marine Corp. My half-brother was in the Air Force. We legitimately have every major branch on the military covered!

I think the kids will look adorable in tails! :goodvibes

I think the vow renewal is wonderful- especially given the circumstances. It's a family renewal time for everyone to fall back in step and function as a full family unit again. How long has he been gone? If you need anything, let me know. Been there, done that, willing to help.

Please let your husband know he's in our thoughts and prayers. We owe so much to our active duty military personnel and their families. It's a huge sacrifice... and it's selfless. And as a spouse, you are never thanked enough. Thank you to him, you, and your children.
xoxo

He is PA National Guard (not full-time) and he left for this deployment in October, 2004. He was coming home in January, but emailed me this morning and may be staying an extra 3 months--so he would make it home just before our flight to Florida!! I told him as long as he is here the day before, that is fine--I'll pack his clothes for the trip!

Thank you.
