wedding attire ? Tacky?

I'm attending the wedding of my BFFs daughter in a few weeks. I found a dress and I love it...but I just found out that her wedding color is coral, and my dress is a pinky/coral print, with a pinky/coral jacket. Should I find something else??? Thanks!

I attended a wedding that my DF was in, I wore a dress that matched his shirt... I don't think there's really anything wrong with it.

I wouldn't say it's tacky but yes, since you know it, I would avoid wearing the same color as the wedding party.

We just went to a wedding in cancun last month and when we showed up at the beach I was wearing the same color dress as the bridesmaids.....oh and so were about 5 other guests as well as my daughter and middle son! We didn't know in advance, not many people are privy to that information Go with what you have and have fun!

There was a young gal that wore a cocktail dress that was pretty much the same color as the bridesmaids as my cousin's wedding. It was very, very similar in length and style too. I thought to myself, she probably feels a little silly even though she looked lovely. I doubt many people noticed, she just happened to be in my eye line and I am a very observant person.

I wouldn't think a dress with a jacket would be a problem though. It's not like it's going to be matchy, matchy with the wedding party like the young lady at my cousin's wedding.
