I know how picky Disney Resort is about people running around in wedding attire. My question is this....I'm getting married at Shades of Green, which is non-Disney owned (though the property is), but is located ON Disney World. We plan on walking over to the Poly after our early morning ceremony for breakfast (just four of us). Is there any rule against wearing wedding attire into a Restaurant, if it wasn't a WISHES/Escape wedding?

Thanks!!

No. The only places that have rules about wedding attire are the theme parks. :goodvibes

Thanks Carrie! I really appreciate your wealth of information, and willingness to share it!! :goodvibes

Good question...I am wondering about the wedding attire in the theme parks...just because if we can't have our ceremony at the tower of terror...i was hoping to atleast have pictures taken...is that possible? Do you have to make plans for an extra price? or do they not allow it all?

Are there no issues with brides possibly running into each other? I know you can wear wedding attire in restaurants and hotels for pictures, but do you have to let someone know ahead of time??

I know that on my wedding day the planner and her assistance made every effort that I didnt see any other brides

But I had my MK bridal portrait 2 days later, when we had finished I was DESPERATE for something to eat, we decided to run into 1900 park fair to see if they could seat us for breakfast. The cast member who booked us in thought it was brilliant we were in our wedding attire and seemed a little disappointed that I wanted to get changed before I ate breakfast - So basically there is no problem with you being in your wedding attire round resorts/restraunts and there is no need to advise anyone of your plans!

I don't know if it's a rule so much as an attempt to preserve the specialness of the day for the bride. Most of them want to feel like they're the only bride that day (although if you're getting married at Disney you gotta expect there to be others! ;) )

So DFTW planners have historically tried to keep brides from running into each other if they can. But it's not written down anywhere.

MistressofallEvil and I became friends on this board and *wanted* to see each other on our shared wedding day, so we arranged to meet at the BoardWalk Inn after my reception and before her ceremony. It was really fun! Historic pictures here... :lmao: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1725564

You can take pictures in the parks but it has to be early in the morning either 5 am or 6 am. You can have pictures done in MK, HS, Epcot and AK.

I am doing HS and MK and its 1300.00. That cost counts toward your minimum.
