Hi,

Im new here and have been trying to find information everywhere on having a vow renewal ceremony at Cinderellas Castle but I have found so much conflicting information. I hope someone can help. Basically I am just looking for any information about having a vow renewal ceremony at Cinderellas Castle. Times, Minimum spend etc. I saw on one sight that there is a minimum spend of $500,000 to have a ceremony here. Surely that's not true. Is it? :(

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi There,

When I was planning my Disney Wedding MANY years ago, there was a $50,000 minimum to have a castle wedding. Like I said, that was years ago, so I am sure the price has gone up significantly.

Good luck!

Right now, the only place they're holding wedding ceremonies inside the Magic Kingdom is the Main Street Train Station. Before that, the closest you could get to the castle was the Swan Boat Landing, but now that the entire hub is under construction and the Swan Boat Landing is being demolished, that's out. We'll have to see what locations the park allows after construction concludes.

The price of an MK ceremony is $10,000 (which includes specialty transport, a string trio, and chairs), plus the standard $125/$150/$175 per person food and beverage minimum and an enhancement minimum ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 depending on the day of the week.

Thank you for your replies. In all honestly it will be a few years before I could have a vow renewal anyway so I am willing to wait and see what new venues MK come up with. I just wanted to see could I realistically afford it or should I wipe it out of my mind altogether before I got carried away. :) We are from Ireland so we would have to factor in the cost of actually getting everyone to Orlando as well as the cost of the actual wedding.

I just got married this year and really did not enjoy my wedding at all so this would be MY dream day.

Well, thanks again ladies. I can continue to dream :)

I'm sorry to hear you did not enjoy your wedding! No bride should feel that way. :flower3:
I just wanted to say my husband is from Co. Laois and we had an Escape wedding. His parents and brother and two aunts and an uncle came over for it. It was their first trip to WDW ever and I think they loved it. They were however completely overwhelmed I think. LOL. They kept thinking Sea World was part of WDW.....

We got married at the castle this year. The "castle fee" is 10k, which includes venue, music and transportation.
With the construction going on, I doubt they will do in park ceremony soon. Perhaps in 2016.
Keep in mind, you have to be flexible not just with date, but month and year. Plus your date may change at 3 months, or the castle can get unavailable. Our wedding was beautiful but the planning process drove me crazy.

I remember you!! You had that AMAZING planning journal and I was SO BUMMED when you stopped writing it!!! (You trying on all those phenomenal gowns was particularly fun to watch!!!) How was your wedding?!? Post photos!!! Was your BEO terribly insane? I hope you had your dream day!

They are still holding weddings in the MK, just at the train station instead of Swan Boat Landing (see above).

I was just lazy! Never gonna be a blogger I guess. Maybe sometime I will come around and write a report. We did a lot of cool stuff during wedding week.

Our BEO was not crazy, it was less than 50k and included rehearsal dinner at Hollywood studios and a lot of unique decor.
It .. Rained on our day! We defeated DFTW, park operations but nearly lost It to rain!.. But our planner made happen, still dunno how. Big thanks to her! Plus all my dresses were very needed. As each of them got very wet.

Regarding future weddings: yes, they still do them. But when we were planning ours, we were told only about the train one. After that none is scheduled, because park is very hard to negotiate with. But it's all doable:)

Yes that's why you have to do a TR!! We all want to see photos of all the gowns and the rehearsal dinner at Hollywood Studios and your decor and your photos of your ceremony and reception!!!!

Well. If I ever get 50k I now know exactly what I plan to do with it. One of the most beautiful weddings I have ever seen!

I had come across your planning journal and read it all in one day. I was also devastated when you stopped writing. :) I had also seen your videos somewhere and couldnt believe the rain but once you had a magical day who cares about the rain. You still looked beautiful.

I had seen on the blog about the train station wedding and while it looks great I would much rather be closer to the castle if possible. It will be a few years before we can do it so we can cross our fingers that they might come up with a new ceremony location after the construction in MK is finished. Heres hoping. :)

Another option to consider is having the ceremony elsewhere on property then booking a castle photo shoot. Still pricey but considerably less than a castle wedding.
