Will it be Disney Studios/MGM whatever it’s called now! Or Epcot?

Gabs and I got up early and nipped to Walgreens and Publix for supplies. My super bargain of Enz’s heat pads a couple of nights ago was followed up by a request for me to go get some more. At Publix I sort of got carried away buying the Aussie range of shampoos and conditioners that I use at home – at $2.99 for a larger bottle than I can buy here it really would have been foolish not to take advantage!

We were going to do MGM this morning followed by Epcot in the evening. I thought it would be a good idea to park at Epcot and hop to MGM.

We parked the car and walking towards the bus stop the kids realised that they didn’t have their masks with them and they NEEDED them. I’m not quite sure how it happened, I think the sun was frazzling my brain, but rather than saying ‘ok then, let’s just do MGM’ we got in the car and we had an Animal Kingdom day instead! I’ve a feeling that we were going to do MGM in the afternoon because it was Extra Magic Hour there in the morning so we thought it would be less busy in the afternoon – that’s my theory anyway!

None of the queues at Animal Kingdom were longer than 20 minutes. We did the Dinosaur ride and Primeval Whirl (hate this ride, it’s so jerky) – complete walk-on, no queue whatsoever.

We made our way to Kali River Rapids and yours truly was in the wet seat for a change – every bl**dy time! Lol We walked through Pangani Forest Trail which took up a fair amount of time. We got chatting to a lovely CM in the bat house who had Gianni really giggling.

By now the children were hungry so we wandered over to Tusker House as we’d never had lunch here before and I’d read that it was rather tasty. Not being very hungry just slightly peckish, Enz, Gabs and I decided to get 2 dishes and I would have a little of each. Gabs had the salmon and beans – she loved it so much that I only got try one flipping bean – she’s still talking about that meal. Enz had the vegetable sandwich and all I got of that was a nibble! Gianni had the kid’s chicken leg and mash – I am so grateful that whoever makes that tasty mash puts garlic in it because he wasn’t very taken with it so I had it instead :goodvibes

We went back to the Villa for a rest and swim and a freshen up.

We collected the masks and made an effort to drag ourselves back to the car at 6pm and onto Epcot.

The weather channel said it was 90degrees today but that with the humidity it felt like 100!

Once at Epcot, Gabs dragged Enz onto Mission:Space and Gianni and I played the Space game in the exit area. I am now addicted to this mindless game on disneymissionspace website!

We stayed in here for a while so that Enz and Gabs could play too.

We started to make our way to Canada at about 7.30. The children had to visit the countries from Canada to USA to finish their masks. I was constantly clock watching because I wanted to be in a decent spot for Illuminations.

On our way round we shared a couple of tidbits from the bakery in France and shared a couple of platters in Morocco.

We just managed to finish the masks and make a restroom stop before finding a decent spot to watch the fireworks – to be honest anywhere would have been decent as there weren’t many people about. I really miss the parade that they used to do here – I can still remember the music! I was so wrapped up in the fireworks and imagery that I completely forgot where I was until Gabs said very loudly ‘are you crying mum?’ Sentimental old fool that I am!

We made the long long trek back to the car and same old same old I fell asleep on our journey home ;)

Another great day ~ Thanx for posting :goodvibes

We had a wonderfull breakfast at Tusker House, glad to see their other meals are nice aswell :goodvibes

Publix , what would we do without it - At Publix I sort of got carried away buying the Aussie range of shampoos and conditioners that I use at home – at $2.99 for a larger bottle than I can buy here it really would have been foolish not to take advantage!

I bought the same when we were there!

Yay!!! Just had to get DH in in to see that I'm not the only nutter who buys shampoo on holiday.

One of the dad's at the kids' swimming club calls me The Shampoo Lady because he overheard me telling my friend about my purchase :)
