Hello All,

First post, and first (for me) cruise ever! Cruising will be my wife and I (both early 40's) and my (will be at the time) 6 yo daughter on the 3/30/16 cruise to Castaway Cay, Nassau & Key West on the Wonder. I've spent a ton of time on here reading and re-reading postings...just chock full on info. We'll be in one of the concierge rooms on deck 8, and looking forward to soaking it all in. We've got a ways to go...but just wanted to introduce myself for now! OK, back to reading more posts!!!

That's what I mean... I'm actually replying from the 2016 Disney Wonder Cruise Meets Forum...I posted on pg. 2, and Irish linked it to the correct date on pg. 1, so it looks like I'm good to go. Don't know how/why it's also on the main page, too!?!

Ah, but what you did on page 2 of the Cruise Meet board was post a link to this thread (on the Main Cruise board). Instead of posting what you had here as post #1 directly on the "Find your 2016 Wonder LINK here" thread on the Cruise Meet board.

Hi teachergirl81 - Welcome! Are you an educator? My wife and I are both teachers, and we're 99.99% this cruse falls on the last five days of our 2016 Spring Break. (Crossing fingers!) My first cruise (DW has been on one before). Looking forward to it as well!!!

yes, I am a teacher. We live in Northern VA, how about you? We are excited to go on the cruise. Our 2015-2016 calendar came out and it is over spring break so then we went ahead of booked the cruise.

Hi Shannon, We're both teachers in New Jersey. Our district won't have the 15-16 calendar finalized until this May-ish, but I'm almost positive, based on many past years, that our Spring Break will fall within these dates for the cruise. The pricing really wasn't that bad for this cruise, compared with other ships around this same time....but I do see it's now starting to sell more staterooms for this cruise, as opposed to the March 16th cruise, which still has most of their staterooms available. I think we lucked out!

Hi! Will you all be flying down the day before? We are looking at doing this. Do you have any recommendations? We obviously have not done port or cruise check in before.

Are you looking at doing any port adventures? We are thinking about the swimming with the dolphins in Nassau.

We will also be staying on the 8th deck.

Hi all! This will be our third Disney Cruise, first on the Wonder and first out of Miami. We have three families total in our party! I am so excited this has worked out!! It's my husband and I, our two kids (ds-15 and dd-12), my brother in law, his wife and kids, and my MIL and FIL- all on deck 5.
Looks like we all are somewhat near each other. We are in Maryland!
The flight schedule and prices will determine what day we arrive in Miami. Right now, we just have to play the waiting game....

Welcome MM!!! Wow, a nice big group! We're waiting for flights to open up as well. We try and always travel Southwest (free bags, and really good prices on the day the dates are released...) but they don't fly into Miami from our closest airports, so we'll have to keep an eye out and see what's available in the next few months.

Thanks for the warm welcome, mahermusic! We most likely will be flying into Ft. Lauderdale to take advantage of Southwest prices. I have been to that airport before, it's very small, and not too far from Miami. But we will see!

My son will be 15 at time of cruise too! Maybe the boys have similar interests. My daughter will be 12, just like your younger son.

Maybe they will hang out in the Vibe together. You will love cruising DCL. Our first cruise (husband and I) was on the Wonder in 2000 when I was pregnant with our oldest. Looking forward to seeing the Wonder again this June.
