Webslingers Standby

I just noticed an 80 min standby time for Webslingers in DCA. So when did standby become a thing? I'm glad we were able to ride it once, but I definitely wouldn't wait too long to do it again. I wonder if the standby is a sign that others have found it as underwhelming as we did? It's not like there's any sign of virtual going away for ROTR any time soon.

During the oogie boogie party it’s open with a standby line only. Tonight is one of the 2 Saturday nights parties.

Ohhhh! Thanks for that! I'm not keeping track of party dates, so that's good to know!

It’s always such a mystery with Disney. One would think the insane waits seen at that party (at one time, Web Slingers, GOTG, and RSR were all over 30 or 40 min!) was because of a Saturday party. BUT, all parties are sold out… so that makes you think they should all have approximately the same crowd levels. It’s clear that Disney absolutely plays with total number of tickets though and goes heavy on the Saturday ones compared to the others…

That or capacity is the same but the Saturday ones have more children and young adults that want to hit the attractions instead of parades, food, and just walking around?

I wish they'd switch to standby on slower days or near closing. We went a few days ago and literally NO guests in line prior to closing, yet CM's still only allowed Boarding Groups.

In fact it was a bit of 'bad show' with 4 CM's standing side by side (one leaning on sign) talking about how they wish they were off work earlier. Not to be a Karen, but com'on. I know times have changed.... we wern't even allowed to have hands in pockets or lean on something on stage when I worked at the park.

I was also on the ride this morning when they didn't have enough people so an entire vehicle was sent empty. Maybe they could give some people arriving before rope drop tickets that let them into the line before 8:15 or something.

I heard at Rise of Resistance they are actively "recruiting" riders by marching around and chanted "come join the resistance!" if it's slow. What a great surprise for anyone in the area!
