That's exactly what I am getting...I can’t even login. A headless snowman tells me password protected areas aren’t available right now.
If you are still logged in from the brief period it was allowing logins then the website is "working". If you aren't logged in it won't let you right now. That's exactly what I am getting...
If DVC didn't impose a 7 day maximum, it would effectively give preference to members with a large number of points. Imagine you and I both want to book September 1-7. You only have enough points for that trip so you cannot book until February 1 (7 months from check-in.)I’m in a similar boat…I hate the 7 night maximum…I’m doing 2 weeks in august and I have to now log in every day for the next week to add one night at a time.
Not today you won't!I have a lot of extra point sitting around so today I book August 20 - September 7.
When did the 7 day limit start? I booked an 8 day trip last September without a problem. If DVC didn't impose a 7 day maximum, it would effectively give preference to members with a large number of points. I have a lot of extra point sitting around so today I book August 20 - September 7. Then a couple weeks from now, I drop Aug 20-31 from my reservation, keeping only 9/1 - 9/7.
It's another form of "walking" that would be much easier for large point owners without the 7 day booking limit. And large point owners are the ones who are probably most apt to manipulate the system--targeting specific rooms and dates for rental purposes, etc.
You must’ve booked one day after the booking day. There’s always been a 7 night limit on the 7 and 11 month window. You can add a day the next day. All my trips are 10-14 days, so do this routinelyWhen did the 7 day limit start? I booked an 8 day trip last September without a problem.
I read this comment like 5 times, and I'm still not sure what you are arguing. Doesn't this give an advantage already? Just an only 7 day one? would it matter if it's a 3 day or 7 day or 12 day?If DVC didn't impose a 7 day maximum, it would effectively give preference to members with a large number of points. The more days DVC allowed members to book following their stated check-in date, the greater advantage it would provide to large point owners.I read this comment like 5 times, and I'm still not sure what you are arguing. I don't believe so.I think I vaguely remember it being a 10-day limit at some point?
