Hi guys! Trying to start planning a trip for May 2003. We are leaning toward CBR. I've seen all the pictures on this site, and the Disney site, but am looking for more. Do any of you have your own site with CBR pictures?

From what I've seen, there seem to be different room decors, don't know if that is pre and post renovation, or just different islands, different decor. I'd like to know what the interiors and exteriors of each section look like. I'm not too fond of the brightly colored tropical bedspreads, but saw a picture somewhere, where the room was lighter.

Seems like general consensus is that Martinique and Trinidad North are the best for proximity. What about Jamaica and Aruba? Some of those buildings look pretty convenient to OPR too.

Can you give me a better description of these sections?

Thanks :D

I like the Jamaica section. Not as hectic as Martinique but just a short stroll across the bridge to OPR.

If you have kids one of the buildings in Jamaica has a playground right in front of it on the beach area.

the pictures you don't like are the new rooms

The beige rooms are the old pictures

Thanks so much guys :D I hadn't seen any of these pictures. My luck that the bright rooms are the new ones, but is good to hear they look better in person. I figured the Disney picture probably just looked better because it was a professional photo. Thanks for sharing your opinions and these pictures! BTW, what was the deal with the fire? Those pictures were pretty intense. Looks like CBR will be a good choice for our May trip.

Hi. I liked the CBR rooms as they are bigger than the rest of the moderates and seemed to have lots of places to store things. The green theme does fit in, once you are there. There are palm trees in the carpet . . . you'll see.

We happened to see that fire about midnight the first night we checked in. Apparently a brush fire, one of the bridges along the promenade burned, it was put out quickly and quietly. I've been told it's been completely repaired.

Have fun :)

Hey hey, stop by our site. Lots of CBR photos.

As we always say "grab a cup of coffee and stop on by"....the door is open.

;)

Hi Mooneybeams,

There will be some landscaping and the sidewalk, then the beach - but the rooms in Martinique that face the beach would be some in Martinique 25. Maybe someone can be more specific than me - I don't know exactly which room nos it would be.

Here's a map, you can kinda see:

WedWay72, love your site!

Those pics look great!
I read somewhere that CBR, is the biggest resort on property, has anyone had a problem with that? Too crowded? Too big and confusing?
We are planning a trip in may, we love POR, but after seeing these pics, maybe we should try something new.

Also, does this resort have boat transportation anywhere? Like POR has a boat to downtown disney, I love that boat ride at night!

Hi Maci A,

CBR is huge and very spread out. We've never had a problem there as far as crowded, maybe for just that reason. Everything is so spread out that you get a very relaxed feeling, not like you're in the middle of a crowd. We were there the first/2nd week in April, during a peak time of year. I requested Martinique and got it so we had a very short walk to the food court and main pool. I can see if you got a room far away from those areas it might be a problem . . . maybe someone else can elaborate on that? There's a bus system just for CBR but we have small kids so I'm not sure I'd like having to take a bus or walk really far to the food court.

No boat transportation to anywhere unfortunately but you can rent boats etc for the lake.

Have fun :)

josierac, those are some of the most AWESOME pictures I have ever seen of CBR!!!:D
The fog is sooooo COOL:)
My favorite is the "shining through" one with the sun coming through the fog.:)

Were these taken early morning?? or was it a rainy day??

AGAIN....GREAT PICTURES!!!:)

We stayed at CBR last week in Jamaica and didn't find it hard to get around at all. It was just a short enjoyable walk over the bridge to the main pool and the main buildings.

I just loved this resort! We split our stay between CBR and CSR and while I enjoyed CSR it seemed not nearly as Disney as CBR. I guess I really enjoyed the beaches and tropical feel to CBR.

Jamaica was a very quiet area and laying on the hammocks at night was well, I miss it already!!

Go to CBR and I promise you will enjoy it too!

Rooth;)
