We're looking at doing a Caribbean cruise sometime next summer for my mom's 60th birthday. I've been researching and looking at prices, but it's very tedious.
I've tried places like Travelocity and a number of the cruise sites.

The problem is that every site that gives me a comparison of different options, with prices, only shows something like "from $799". So with each cruise having varying discounts for the 3rd and 4th passengers in a cabin, it's impossible to do a true comparison without selecting the cruise, entering the number of passengers, ages, etc., and going through the whole process. This is a pain when there are hundreds of cruise options I'm looking at.

We're pretty flexible about the date, port, and itinerary, but we are on a budget, so I'm trying to narrow it down to the most reasonably priced options out of the hundreds we could do. We want to do something in June or August, with a Caribbean itinerary (Eastern or Western), departing from basically anywhere in Florida.

Are there any websites that let you put in the number of passengers and ages first, then give you the total price per cabin when it shows you the results of your search?

If there aren't, then which websites are the best for making it as easy as possible to get a total cabin price for each cruise?

I've used Cruise Critic to read about the different ships and cruise lines, but do they have a good way to compare the actual prices of different cruise options?

cruisecompete.com will have different travel agents bid on your business more or less. Just be sure to read reviews/do research of each agency

We've are on mailing list for several cruise web sites, but usually use Cruise.com. They will beat any quote you may find and also have great offers such as compliment prepaid tips, upgrades, ship credit, etc. Once you learn to navigate site, it let's you put the number of adults and children before you get your quote and you can compare 5 cruises at one time. :goodvibes

IMO June would be better than August, unless you prefer hot and humid as is in late summer. Great deals out there with tight economy, you're sure to find something appealing to celebrate your DM's 60th!! Planning is all part of the fun! :goodvibes

I've looked at Cruise Compete also, but unless I'm missing something, you have to know exactly what cruise you want to take to get a quote. I'm looking for the best deal on a ship that gets good reviews and on a date that we can make work. So I don't know which ship and date we want yet.

I'll take a closer look at cruise.com

I use vacationstogo.com to shop for prices. And often times to dream....I'm SO ready for a cruise... :lovestruc

I use all of the above, plus bestpricecruises.com. I joined (free) for the best prices. Once I have it pretty much decided which cruise, I go to cruisecompete.

as someone who worked in the industry previously , i dont beleive there is such a site, you just have to do your homework. OR use a travel agent and let them do it for you, and good agent doesnt charge any type of fee. As far as "from $799" that is always going to be the per person price, for an inside cabin, it will include the port fees, but not the taxes. There are 2 companies that are huge as far as booking cruises Vacationstogo.com is one, and another is Ourvacationstore.com the 2nd one you may not have heard of but that is a huge company. If you have booked a cruise thru USAA, American Express, RCI and a few others, you probably talked to Ourvacationstore, they are the contractor for a LOT of companies out there, this is the direct site to book with them. Either of those are great places to start, your best bet is to use an agency, they work for you, and they do this every day, all day long, they know the ships inside and out and know what will be best for you after talking with you, good luck !
