New as of yesterday for me, an Error message:
Various Disney website pages after attempting login said:
We're sorry!
You are not eligible to sign in or register here.
Pages following the error suggest possible conflict between Disney+ (streaming) which is NOT set up with my login. The problem, to me, seems to be a conflict in Single-Sign-On when hopping between DisneyLAND pages and "the mother ship." Seems backend resources (as related to authentication) from the various sites are not being kept in sync. Thus, one side forces me to reset my password and then the other side fails to accept that change ... causing me to reset it again. Rinse, Repeat.

On the bright side, the DL pages offer a 2nd factor authentication which helps get around the problem w/out having to do a full password reset ... but then, somehow, later, my DVC authentication ends up in the trash. UGH.

I've changed my password so many times in the past 24 hours! I've tried different browsers (Safari/Firefox), cleared my cache and cookies, etc.

Growl. Disney IT should all be put through such terrors as they inflict on their users!

I'm also frequently stuck at the following page for extremely long periods of time ... until I give up:
Disney page just after entering login info said:

You're Almost There!
It may take a moment to complete your request.
Please don't refresh the page or select the back button.

I'm getting really irritated with the authentication code when I log into DVC. I cannot access my personal phone or email at work so if I try to log on to check something during work hours I have to leave my office, go out thru the gates and check my phone then walk all the way back. By the time I get back, the code has expired.

Reason this is soooo frustrating: I've been trying to add a single night to our next-coming DVC reservation. My waitlist dropped off as I'm inside 7 days from check-in ... and I've been stalking DVC inventory while also tweaking our plans on the DL site. The two seem entirely incompatible!

Awww, I can fully understand why that is frustrating!

Having implemented their single signon into commerce pages I can fully understand your frustration and I sympathise. It was no easier to implement it than it is to use it as a customer. Their backend systems are legacy and its like jumping through hoops to get all the working parts to co-operate.
Not that this helps but you as the end user are not at fault.

Updates:
  1. Firefox is now able to log into DVC ... after using the 2nd Factor code. I'm ok w/ that.
  2. Safari gets stuck either at the spinning "you are almost there" page ... or goes to Stitch.
Curious thought: I recently ran the recent Apple 'security' update on all devices including my laptop. I wonder if the update is conflicting with Disney's security/trust methods re: browser.
  3. I'm frequently hitting the ~"you aren't eligible/authorized for this page" message.
  4. I'm frequently hitting ~"password doesn't match our records" but I know I'm using the last one I updated yesterday. Again, I think the backend systems are not keeping in sync across Disney systems.
  5. My login still works through the DL App on my phone. Phew??
I'm really afraid of being onsite (at the hotel/parks) and not having a working login for the app and all it controls. I'm afraid to be that person at the turnstiles ... (yes, I'll have paper printouts of my reservation QR and tickets as well as screen grabs of the same).

SO GLAD we visited DL last week as this login mess might hamper success and tracking of the RotR boarding queue, right?? LOL

My go-to solution for all problems logging into Disney sites is to open an Incognito (private) browser window. Yes, I could clear my cache and cookies but I hate to get logged out of all of the websites that I commonly use. And the authentication does seem random and irritating. Sometimes nothing, sometimes a code, sometimes an email telling me that I logged in; if they want to go 2-factor, which I am fine with, why not just do what every bank does and text (as opposed to email) a one-time code and provide a "remember this browser" option?

I got that "You are not eligible to sign in or register here" message once about a month ago and it FREAKED ME OUT!!!!!

I thought for sure someone had hacked my account and changed my password so that I couldn't access my account. I was prepared to find all of my vacation points had been stolen, or worse someone had taken possession of the contract altogether.

Thankfully, I was still logged in on one of the accounts and I quickly changed my password as a precaution. Then I was able to log in to all of the accounts again, but I was super stressed for about 45 minutes until I was able to access my accounts and verify that I still owned my DVC contracts.

It ticks me off a bit that they worded their error message so ominously. How about something more innocuous like: "Oops, there was a problem processing your sign in. Please try again later." Don't scare the hell out of people by telling them that they're no longer ELIGIBLE to sign in to their account!!!!!
