Webkinz?

OK, I must've had blinders on for the last few months because I had NO idea these things were so popular ! I have heard of them before so thought it'd be a cute addition to my niece's and nephew's Easter baskets. DD and I were in our local Hallmark and there was a sign for them, but the shelves were empty. When we were checking out (with my new Vera Bradley birthday present purse!) I asked the cashier about them and he said they had some in this morning but they had sold out by 11 a.m. When I came home I check online and sure enough, they seem awfully hard to come by. I did find a couple for them at face value and ordered them. It reminds me of the beanie baby craze.

Yes they are the new craze. They are taking Beanie Babies one step further. DD and I went shopping after the American Girl Tea and Fashion Show today. They have the new releases behind the counter: leopard, pug and panda. They also had three other kinds out on shelves frog, black and white cat and something else.......

We got two. I have about 10 total hidden away right now. Still not quite sure who will get what.

I never got sucked into the whole beanie babies craze, but we're on our way with the Webkinz. The kids love them! So far, I've been lucky and we've never had a hard time finding them.

They are fun though.

We love Webkinz in this house! I actually played my DD's so much that she made me buy my own last time we were in Hallmark! So I bought myself a gorilla and became a new member. Now she's all mad because I used to play cash cow for at least 30 minutes before I went to work every morning (house is still asleep and I'm just waking up). She's really upset that she's not getting all that Webkinz cash anymore. The other day she told me that I could play with her's anytime I wanted.

My MIL works at Hallmark and got my kids hooked. I think we have a total of 10 or so now. My nephew was visiting a couple of weeks ago, and now he is hooked. DN and DS coordinate times to be on together. I think they are a great way to teach a little responsibility too. If you don't have one, you should get one.

My dc LOVE Webkinz. I have it on good authority that the Easter Bunny will be bringing a couple of new Webkinz to our house on Easter Morning. : )

Webkinz games are fun, and for the price, I think Webkinz are a good deal for computer games for a year.

Happened to me too!

DD asked for one when we were in the store one day and I got it for her. We set it up and when DS saw the games and stuff online he asked if he could get one too! Now they are both hooked and dying for more and all of a sudden I can't find the darn things anywhere! They are always sold out. Maybe after Easter they will be a little easier to find....

One of my friends (who has 2 dds who have 8 each) calls them the work of the devil!
