I bought my daughters a couple webkinz today for the first time. I'm trying to register them on their website, but when I get to the "log in/new member" page, the page won't fit on my computer screen. There is no scroll bar on the bottom or on the right. And when I hit the 75% on the bottom right side, I get a smaller picture but still no scrolling and no way to get around the screen. I can't get to the part where I register these little things.

I've got two kids standing over my shoulder waiting for these toys to be registered and I'm so frustrated and I just want them to start playing with these things so I can watch the Steeler game. No phone number on the Webkinz tags. None on the website, and of course this doesn't match any of their questions on their "help" page. What am I doing wrong??? Please help!!!!

Thanks.

Tried to answer this earlier and lost my internet connection!!!!

It sounds like you need to change the settings on your computer monitor. That window doesn't have scroll bars and it does fill the screen - but not as much as you describe! If you can see this window:

and can't reach the "New Member" button, you can click on the "Help" button and there is a log in button on that page to click.

Maybe you've got it figured out by now. Hope so!!

Thanks for the responses. I'm not having trouble with that page. It's the one that I get when I click on "new member". I get a "Miss Birdy" talking and she was saying how I needed to register. There's a clipboard on the page and I can see the top border of a button. So I click on that but it just wants a user name and password. I'm guessing the register button is just under that. But I just can't get to it! It's so frustrating.

I sent the girls up to a neighbor friend's house so they can register them there but they weren't home. I just tried hitting F11 with the Miss Birdy page, but nothing is happening.
:headache:

oooh, I just tried F11 again and it increased what I could see on the screen...for a while. Now I got to the "confirm your country and click next" on the clipboard, but it's too big to get to the "next" button. I can't believe something so easy is turning out so hard! Why are there no scroll bars???

The Webkinz site drives me crazy! Lately, the "Clubhouse" has been closed. My neighbor and I were trying to let our DD's be "friends" on Webkinz, but couldn't get it to work. We finally gave up after about an hour of trying different things. The website told us to let them play a game together, but we couldn't get any of the games to work, either :confused3 There is very little help on the website, and it seems to have problems all the time! For such a popular website, I would think they were more up to par, technologically.

I was talking to the mom of the neighbor girls today. She was on the elipticle machine next to me at the health club. She said that she had the same problem at first too. She said I had to change my resolution on my computer. So I'll give that a try, if I can figure out how to do that.

the Webkinz site is designed at a 1024x768 if you are using less than that you'll need to adjust your resolution. That is a pretty standard size these days.

I'm not sure why but we can only get on to Webkinz if we use Firefox. It will not work with Internet Explorer.

EXACTLLY!!! Also, go to the HELP area and it will tell you how to do this!

Thank you so much! That did it. Your response came right when I was trying to find out how to change the resolution. I changed it to 1024x768 and now I can see the whole webkinz page. BTW I had no idea there was a "spell check" button on the DIS???!!!"

Anyway, I don't think my mother and father are going to like the smaller print. But at least I can change it back and forth for them. Thanks again!

And I just wanted to add a big thank you to everyone who helped. I knew that if I needed an answer I could count on the DIS!
