Webkinz craziness...

No you are not the only one. I "help" my dd by winning her money on the quizzy's word challenge and Wacky Zingo when I am angry! lol Oh and I like the matching game.
Around here the best place to find them are the local Pharmacy. You know the no- name mom and pop kind of places. I walked into one and they had every single one you could imagine. As this was our first we didn't "know" how hard they are to find or we would have bought more than one.
Although with this whole good for only a year online thing- I may hold off on buying another ......

I had to look at this link when I saw the title. My daughters have just got into it. They said you can renew after one year with the same #. I had to ask them about all your comments and they said they were correct, but my daughters friend has all that you are looking for!:cutie: I think they have found theres in the odd places not hallmarks, but thats all we have around here because we are not in a city.

Am I the only adult with a Webkinz addiction? My DS4 has the Gorilla (which I think is adorable) and my DD10 has the Yorkie & Basset Hound. I "help" my son with his Webkinz, which is my excuse to play Tile Towers and Cash Cow. Over and over and over...until I get tired of hearing "Mommy, can I have a turn now?" :lmao:

We were lucky enough to find them at the little neighborhood gift shop down the street from us. They always have tons of them in stock and they very smartly keep the tags in a back room until it's time to purchase the Webkinz!

Gotta Get To Disney! :moped:

Oh i am right there with you playing the games. My DD 7 got the Yorkie for her birthday. We both love it. She loves the Supermodelz game while I enjoy tile tower, Color Storm, cash cow, candy bash, Zingo's pie throwing and tulip trouble. My DD likes me to score points for her to buy things with. Did anyone notice that the hourly events time is off by an hour , well at least it was yesterday.
I was thinking of getting my daughter another one, but she has one and ithink that's plenty. I am just wondering what happens after the year is done.
I am not understanding about the tags. Why would people take them? Would it be because it has the code? MY DH was the one that set up the Webkinzs ont he computer.

My understanding is that your online access expires after a year, but you can extend that by buying another one. I think that extends the "life" of your current Webkinz as well as the new one - I know both of DD7's Webkinz dogs live in room next to each other and can visit - not sure how just one could "go away".

The tag has the code on it. Without the tag, you have no online access, and the company will not give you another code even if you have the animal and the receipt and have not logged in any codes. We found out the hard way when DH cut the tag off and threw it away, not knowing it was different than any other tag on a stuffed animal's ear.

is anyone else scouring the stores looking for a particular one? I refuse to pay the unbelievable markup on Amazon or Ebay... what makes these toys great is that they're somewhat affordable! All the area stores by us have "no Webkinz" in the windows. I am searching for a certain dog, the koala and the rainbow rabbit for easter baskets.... which ones are you looking for? any good tips to find them?

I just got the koala at my local hallmark store today. Not sure about all the hype, ds is 5 and hasn't said anything, but I think he'll get a kick out of them. I got him koala (just cuz its cute!!) and the pug. they, also, had about 8 different ones.

I don't know much about them only what my daughters and their friends say about them. I do know that they and their friends are always asking each other over to visit. Its real cute, I was watching my11dd and her friend play and talk on the phone at the same time. Her friends dog hopped up into the chair and sat down. Her friends animal never sits still its always moving around. Her friend has been doing it longer and seems to know all the ins and outs. She's always telling her when special things are on and how to make differant food blends!?! I've been listening in! One of my daughters is somehow playing w/ a friend. But she just left to go to our local pharmacy and buy one of her own because she is tired of sharing. I wonder what she will come back with? Now your getting me more curious!

My DD is 6 years old and she is Webkinz crazy!! We have six of them right now. I did get the Sherbet the Rabbit on ebay. I paid $20.00 for it, because I want to put it in her Easter basket.

My kids are all into Webkinz too! My 7y old got the horse for Christmas and that is where it started. She now has a dog and a pig. My 9y old has two dogs and my son has a cat.

It really is such a cute concept and yes I get on there and play too. I esp love Wacky Zingoz!

We live for webkinz in my house. In fact, I just turned it off. I'm addicted to Tile Towers and Cash Cow. :rotfl:

My DD went on a play date on Saturday, my DH was working on my parent's cabin out of state and I sat at the computer for 2 hours playing webkinz!!:lmao: I need help.

That sounds like me--I LOVE Cash Cow--have you tried Goober's Lab? My kids ask me to "earn money" for them! HA!

We have a few. They are just starting to catch on here. I just got the sherbert bunny for my kids Easter basket. They had tons and only $10. Let me know if I can help you. PM me. I am sure they still have them and shipping would be cheap if only first class. They are not heavy. We have the new pony too. I haven't seen the koala yet. Keep my eyes posted.
My kids love them and I love the site. TOO COOL and safe!!!:yay:

My kids love webkinz too. My DSs 10, 8, 3 and 3 are on webkinz all the time. I live in Tennessee (around Nashville) and it is hard for me to find them too. I usually get ours at Hallmark and a local toy store. I had Hallmark put my name on a waiting list for the Sherbet Rabbits in February just so I could get them for my kids. I know our hospital has them in their gift store too. I also have had family members in other states buy them for me. Yesterday someone went into Hallmark and bought every single one they had. My kids were soooo sad. We just keep checking though.

I went to my Halmark store today and they had a ton! I had a hard time deciding what to get for DD's easter basket, but I finally decided on the Golden Retriever and the Westi (she's a big dog fan), they were both $7.50. The larger ones like the Unicorn and Koala were $11.00. I guess they haven't caught on in Vegas yet, we met a girl at the library after Christmas that showed my DD the website and she was hooked !

I just bought a green frog and a white yorkie for my kids' Easter baskets. My severn year old has been asking about them for a while, so I think they will be excited.

I never even hear of Webkinz until I saw this post, so I went to the website and checked them out. Then I decided that my dd would love one and went on the hunt to get one. lol One Hallmark was totally sold out and another had a ton! We got her the little white terrier....its so cute! She's going to love it!

Please don't tell me how addicting those games are. I already have an addiction to way too many kid games, especially ToonTown. My DD just got the pink pony and pink poodle Webkinz. I did love helping her play the fashion game. She really likes that her friends are online with her.

A fellow ToonTown mom! Yes! I am also addicted, really addicted, to Toon Town. We had it for a while, cancelled and I called them in Feb. They still had our Toons saved so we resigned up and got them back where we left off.

If you see Loopy Rosie Wondersnout, tall beige bunny, 58 laff points, that would be me! What a fun game, I can lose hours there at night after the kids are in bed!

my dd6 loves webkinz. She has the lilkinz unicorn and the love puppy. She likes the goobers lab, webkinz supermodel, chef challenge and cash cow. I like cash cow, color storm and an easy way to get points is quizzy's trivia under tournaments. She has many of the interactive games in her house and enjoys inviting friends she knows in real life over to play checkers, air hockey, and pool. Together we play word challenge. I didn't know webkinz were so hard to find until we just tried to find one for a birthday party and all the local places listed were out of stock.

Just checked out a store a few blocks from my house. They have a few of the new Koalas, so I got that for DS4. They had a bunch of monkeys, but I didn't notice if they were the new or old kind. Cute stuff!
